I simply know more about the situation than most & that's all I'm going say. Plus no one is making excuses for anything but I forgot this is the Rant where the truth is meaningless while bullshite & assumptions mean everything.

I posted a synopsis of what was only up for a few minutes and we were asked not to cut and paste/quote.
I wasn't there. I don't know what KL was thinking.
You never know if the Houston police chase (knowing he already had legal issues) pushed him over the edge to end his life. Maybe he could have cleared his head of the suicidal thoughts

So, it wasn't the the way the investigation was held, or that he was unfairly targeted, or unfairly portrayed in the media and/or social media? And, he didn't just run out of time before the Grand Jury which would have solved everything?
It's all of that & more. Things had even been slowly building months well before the accident. The accident then his arrest just lead to an avalanche that wore on Kyren mentally. His family knew this & had even taken precautions to try to prevent what happened Saturday night. That's why Kenny made the post he made. The family has been through hell the last few months.

Keep in mind, that's the contention of Lacy's attorney.
Matt Ory is a stand up guy & not a bullshitter. I played AAU baseball on the same team with him back in 1999. He hinted at even more in his interview as what caused the deterioration of Kyren's mental well being.

With all due respect, this gets said at least a couple times every time there’s an incident being discussed on the rant, and quite frankly, I don’t believe you.
I’m sure many others feel the same
How do you know more than everyone else? Are you family? Friends? Law enforcement?
People like to pick sides for whatever reason and the line you used, is always thrown around when people want to give their argument more credence

This is totally irrelevant when he has his attorney uniform on.
You understand that, right? He’s gonna say whatever he can to defend his client. It’s his job

it is safe to say Lacy was feeling a lot of bad emotions when he chose to end his life
guilt from causing a death, guilt and shame from letting himself and his family down, embarassment for the prospect of not being drafted at all, fear of what was going to happen with the GJ, fear of going to prison, depression at the hopelessness of the situation, anger at his family for fighting with him over suicide
his family now have to deal with grief over what happened to their son and guilt over not being aggressive enough in putting a mental health hold on him to stop him from harming himself
just grief and guilt and pain all the way around, two people dead because someone was impatient and rash on the road

You’re 100% correct. This is a sad situation no matter what the circumstances are/were

If that’s the case then none of this is the fault of others.
He had issues that he wasn’t able to handle himself and wasn’t able to get help for.
But that makes his attorney dishonest.

When you're passing cars on a two lane road you have to go faster than the posted speed limit.
Well that’s just.. not really true.
quote:
Even if passing legally, there's always the possibility that someone turns into the opposing lane from a driveway or side road.
Which is exactly why legal passing zones on two-lane roads are placed in specific locations. Visibility for the passing driver is a major factor in whether or not there is a passing zone. Intersections are another factor. Hazards such as driveways are another factor. This is the entire reason we have no-passing zones.
So.. sure - if you’re in a no-passing zone, in an area with limited visibility, cross streets, and/or a lot of driveways, trying to pass a car who is driving at or near the posted speed limit… then yeah, you probably do have to haul arse around them. That’s why it’s reckless.

If the vehicle you want to pass is only going slightly less than speed limit you have to go faster than them or you wouldn't overtake them and be able to pass.

I don't care if you believe me or not. I know what I know though. I've been around here long enough to know that a majority of posters don't deal in actuality. They like to assume & draw conclusions based off already biased opinions.

Y’all have got to be arguing with that guy for the sake of arguing. Everything he is saying actually seems to make sense.

I'm a "shill" for neither. But I do have you figured out. You are one of those types who live for gossip, drama & bullshite even in situations where the actual facts are proven to you.

That's a long time for him to have been having issues if they started before the accident. A very long time. Makes it all even sadder all the way around.

That's just the way some of these posters are on here. They want to argue just to argue about anything even in instances where they are dead wrong & have been proven so with facts. They seem miserable themselves.
