We absolutely CANNOT come out flat and expect to just show up destroy BYU. The team needs to come out focused and hungry, we don't want a repeat of last year against Wisconsin. I truly believe the way we play in this game sets the tone for the season, so the team has to ignore all the press clippings and stats from BYU's crappy performance against Portland State because every week is a new week. They just need to go out there and kick Mormon arse for 4 quarters.

New coach. New offense. This isn't Les Miles football anymore.

I didn't get to see much of the BYU game yesterday, but the parts I did see I was surprised to see the lack of physical play I'm used to seeing with BYU teams. I saw Mangum scrambling a lot against a very meh defense.

BYU very well could have come out overlooking Portland State and looked ahead to LSU, but the lack of physical play by BYU surprised me.

Na man they will be pumped for Lsu. Plus there a lot of improvement after game 1 out of the way. More like 27-13 Lsu imo

I don't expect us to be very good offensively. It takes time to successfully implement a new offense. And this is the first game of the season...with an average signal caller and an OL that is shaky.

They struggled to score 20 against PS and I don't care how vanilla your offense is, you shouldn't struggle to score points against that team.

No way they score more than 9 in real game action. Not cheap scores but competitive scores.

I say it's 42-9 LSU or 35-9 LSU something like that.

LSU could win by 63 and I still don't even have them winning the west

Well fk me running....here I was getting excited.

So you think setting the tone equals winning the west...? Except for the hardcore O haters, most everyone on here wants Lsu to win the west. That said, setting the tone for a nice 10-2 season would also be great.

He threw for over 2,500 yards last year and missed a couple of games. I would say that is above average.

Of all the things to be concerned about, being flat is not one of them. BYU is about to get a beak full of this Tiger team.

If LSU doesn't beat BYU by at least 17 point it's going to be a long season...
