That guy is awesome. He is probably the only player they have that could play on our team. Granted, we wouldn't play him at safety, but still. He should have been in white, not maroon!

he's always been a solid player for them the past few years. IMO he should be picked fairly high in the draft this year.

scholarship offers from such elite college football programs as Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Tennessee and Louisiana State in addition to Mississippi State.[1]

Looks like he turned us down! Maybe he wanted to be the big fish in a small pond.

Well Titus Brown is gone...that guy was awesome. Anthony Dixon is OK.

Are you saying that they have more guys that can play on our team or that Pegues couldn't?

I think he'd be our starting CB right now over Jai or Chris Hawkins. We wouldn't play him at safety, he's 195 lbs. But he'd be a beast of a CB for us.

I think he'd start on our team, but I also think Miss. State has other players who would contribute to our team as well. He wouldn't be the only player.

Nope. Croom "romanced" his mother and told her he was going to create a "Black Dynasty" (verbatim quote from those in the know) in Starkville

South Panola, the high school he comes from, is Ole Miss's #1 feeder school, and he is just about the only prospect from there that we have not signed in the last decade....

Dude is from Batesville, MS...him playing for State is a like a kid from Chalmette playing for LSU....almost a no-brainer.

Yes, seriously. And it was quite the story....you know people in rural Mississippi don't have much in the way of entertainment, but the Croom-Pegues soap opera provided quite a bit for a while there

A prime example, too, of how State hurts us by picking off a few prime prospects every year--not enough to make themselves competitive, but enough to keep us from getting all the way to where we need to be talent-wise to compete consistently with the best in the SEC

Actually, it's a much higher probability that he'd play at Ole Miss being from Batesville, especially considering the high school he attended has put a bunch of guys at Ole Miss (Strong brothers, etc)

I watched him play QB in the Mississippi state high school championship game. He was awesome and unstoppable. Richard Dickson played Defensive end for Ocean Springs and never touched Pegues all night.

Judging by that performance on Saturday, you guys are one step closer now that you have a game-day coach. Ole Miss scares me now.

Yeah, I think Rudd was the last one we didn't get until Pegues "defected".....and Bama paid old Dewayne really well for his services

DeShea Townsend too? But I think that was in the 90's. For a powerhouse, S. Panola doesn't put out too many studs. Or am I forgeting some players?
