Any reasons why he wouldn't be a good hire in Baton Rouge?

Hmm.. you think he has enough head coaching experience to take over a program in the SEC that is expected to contend for the conference title every year?

Jack Del Rio after Jacksonville cans him after the season when they fail to make the playoffs again.

he's good looking but I wouldn't let him wash my car. He looks good in a coach's polo. That's about it.

He is from the Saban school of thought. He won't go somewhere unless they give him full control. That's why he said no to Auburn.

The guy is coaching a team that has less talent than some high school teams yet he continues to play very good football teams close. His record does not in anyway reflect his coaching. The guy is given the talent LSU has then i believe you will see a team that becomes unbeatable. Saban believed in him enough to hire him in Miami after working with him previously. The playing calling when he played LSU was right on point play after play. If tech had any talent, they would of ruined LSU by at least 3 touchdowns. The guy can coach a team.

Saban hired him for entree' to certain recruits. And that's the only reason.

Then again, his experience rivals that of another great pickup in LSU coaching history...Gary Crowton...oh wait...
