Correct me if I'm wrong, but Derek Curiel has reached base in 9 consecutive plate appearances in the past two games.

Anyone know what the LSU or SEC records are for reaching base consecutively?

ChatGPT says Dylan Crews at 71 games.

He is asking for consecutive plate appearances not games.

Not sure about LSU/SEC but the NCAA record is 18.

Thanks, I saw that as well.

Impressive seems unlikely to be broken.

He’ll be facing a really tough lefty in Prager on Friday…will be tough to keep this streak alive…but who knows? He’s on fire right now.

And of all people it was probably a 9 hole hitter that was batting .190 before the streak lol

...beginning with a walk in his final plate appearance on Feb. 26, 2012 versus Appalachian State, Mason Katz reached base safely in 17 consecutive plate appearances, falling just one shy of the NCAA record of 18 straight set by Shaun Larkin of Cal State Northridge in 2002 … during the streak of reaching base safely 17 straight times, Katz was 10-for-10 with three doubles, two homers, nine runs, seven walks and one stolen base.

Yes, he does look more loose and playing with less pressure now that the streak is over

Saw him play in person for the first time on Sunday and I cant get over what his first two AB's. A lazy shot HR to right off of an inside slider with good movement and an absolute masters class in hitting to be slightly fooled on a fastball down the middle and take it inside out the other way.

Two AB's and two entirely different pitches and two different approaches and both balls were absolutely laced.
