Since Dodd isn't in the top 100 U.S. college football journalists, I find it both surprising and somewhat pathetic that his opinion is given any play on this site, much less page 1 exposure. A rare case of abysmal judgment, Chicken.

If you want to use this, FINE. However I would but Texas at 4 because they beat one of the best teams all-time in the title game, Plus they didn't destroyed like OU or OSU did. Miami should not even be considered!!

Except for the fact that they have been dominated by Oklahoma during this decade.

and florida is ahead by only a fraction of a percent.

the team of the decade will be decided this year.

Who is Dennis Dodd, and what planet is he from? This list is a ridiculous a-kiss to those who lack any ability to go beyond the usual few big names.

Fair would be:
1. Florida
2. LSU (#2 only b/c of last year's record)
3. USC
4. Oklahoma
5. Ohio State

Then comes all the rest.

Dennis Dodd = Dumbass

LSU and florida should both be # 1, the rest is wash. USC should be towards the bottom though beceause they lost when they had that thing on ESPN that they were the greatest team ever... They were not that good, they played sorry azz teams...

I would like to thank texas and especially Vince young for beating USC... they went from a possible 3 peat to a 1 Peat...

USC might not have 1 championship after the investigation is done.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Heck, even Dubya invited the USC team to the White House as well as the LSU team despite it being a politically questionable move.......because he saw that an injustice had been done

lol yea i hope they do get stripped of their title that would be great!

I love how they investigate Bama and FL state over dumb stuff, but when USC pays players in multiple sports, everyone just turns their heads (paying players like OJ mayo and Reggie Bush)

Does that sound like a "dominant" program to you or one that deserves a ranking higher than #5?

No team that has won only one conference championship and one national championship in the relevant period should be ranked over teams that have more conference championships and national championships in the same period. Texas doesn't deserve this ranking.

so the arguement is we dont have heisman trophies? thought this was team of decade not the team that happens to have two really awesome players. and besides we are the only team to win it with two diff coaches and two totally diff teams. we should be ahead of uf since they only were winning with cum and tebow on the team. and ohio state has been a better team than usc in my opinion.
