The Eagles have interviewed half of the coaches in the NFL at this point. Allen isn’t getting that job.

NFL interviews don’t mean a lot. Some people go years of interviewing with no head job.

Beinemy in KC has interviewed a ton and hasn’t got a job yet.

Right, but it didnt sound like SP had time to sit around and wait to see if Allen gets the job or not. He had to lock up a guy that would probably be considered for the dc job if Allen goes somewhere.

There has got to be a reason behind this, he is probably tough to evaluate. Word is also that he isnt a good interview.

Total desperation move by Sean Payton.
He is losing half of his defensive staff and possibly his DC.

I don’t believe Sean Payton had Nielsen in mind for his DC until everybody started jumping ship.

He was asleep at the wheel as usual.

Saints will also lose many key players.

Saints are also losing key front office personnel.

All the overpaid higher ups are going to have to find new people to do the work for them.

They better do whatever they can to keep Jeff Ireland and whoever is left in the scouting department.

NLU's Doug Pederson takes the fall for his owner's call and now LSU suffers.

The Saints are starting to panic a bit. Brees is reported to retire, millions and millions above the cap, and coaches/staff are starting to move and shake. I think it's coincidental that LSU was on the short end of their attempt to keep guys under their roof - I believe they would have done the same if Nielsen had tried to go anywhere else.

To be honest, as a Saints fan, I'm starting to panic myself. I can't blame them one bit.

This happens when you have a championship caliber team for four seasons in a row and a 15-year run of greatness. Where else are teams with openings going to look but the best most consistent teams in the league?
