They'll have to pull money from the general fund. Which also means benefits would be reduced every time there's a shutdown.

Maybe because of this?

"The Dutch House of Representatives passed the Actual Return in Box 3 Act in February 2026, which aimed to tax annual unrealized gains on stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies at a flat 36% starting January 1, 2028."

They've backtracked on it recently after an outrage, but they certainly aren't done with the idea, this was just the first push.

Not a boomer.. but yeah regardless of how we got here, why would anyone vote for the party thats gonna make it harder to keep any money.
Trump hasnt helped with the iran decision but everyone was saying that whoever got in office this time would be facing a huge uphill battle with the economy.

That's not true. Some do, and some are passing laws to do just that.

I so wish I could opt out of SS. Let me handle, save, and invest my hard earned money my way instead of handing it over to the government to squander away.

Is Vance/Rubio conceding to AOC already? She is the only Democrat candidate that would support that legislation. Maybe Pete, but i doubt it. Newsom would never sign that.

Maybe once the Dems take money from the rich people the Trumpflation will go down

The boomers basically overlook how some greaseball like Dave portnoy has put every boy under 25 into debt sports betting or mark zuckerberg has turned every woman into a prostitute and say like “no this is great. Send consuela in here to give me my sponge bath”

The system has to be shaken up to fix itself and if I get sent to the fema camp I’m ok with it

They won’t implement a wealth tax until they grant blanket amnesty and citizenship to millions of immigrants thereby negating anything conservative voters could do. You fools are naive, just like Democrats won’t nuke the filibuster

They'll need to stack SCOTUS first because the Apportionment Clause (Article I, Section 9, Clause 4) states that
quote:
No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

An income tax is a direct tax, thus the 16th Amendment was needed to tax income. Unrealized gains are not income, thus it would be a direct tax and thus it is completely unconstitutional without either a new Amendment allowing it or a SCOTUS so heavily stacked and skewed that we might as well revolt if such a Court were to rule an unrealized gains tax constitutional.

They will revise the Tax Code to include unrealized gains in the definition of "income"

What about property tax?

Need to follow Real estate mindset on YouTube. They have a case going to Federal court about how they’ve artificially jacked up property values, unconstitutionally, to fund schools and other municipal endeavors, threatening the ability of people to stay in their houses, especially retired, fixed income Americans. The counties come up with a number they need to run the schools, build new stadiums, etc, then the central appraisal districts will increase the housing price estimates and tax people accordingly… they have the goods, just needs the courts to shut the illegal practices down
