This article is already triggering fools on this site. Facts: Orgeron mishandled the summer of 2020 socio/politically. You don’t like it? No matter. Down vote away, but going on Fox News making those comments alone was classic tone deafness. It doesn’t matter that you don’t like it. It doesn’t matter that you like the players less. Good thing you and your ilk aren’t making decisions.

I said then that Trump lost the locker room when he went on Fox news. Doesn't matter if people have a problem with it. When the anchor asked about Trump, all he had to say was I appreciate what Trump is doing to push for college football to happen. After that, a sophisticated person with some basic intelligence would have not said I "Love President Trump and think he is doing a Great Job". His comment should have been again, I appreciate what the President is doing to push for college football to happen in 2020 but I don't comment on politics, I leave that for the media, etc.

Social Injustice? Because he defended Trump? Trump employs thousands of minority workers, and doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. I wish these players would wake up and stop supporting the Democratic machine who brainwash them to get votes.

No retard. Do you know what support means?

Have you ever had to lead a person? Do you have kids? Do you have any semblance of responsibility in your life?

you would rather cater to someone's emotions than teach them facts?

I would rather him lead his team of young men.

It’s not an either/or situation. Things almost never are. You learn that when you get older. You’re welcome for that advice.

I'm a big Trump supporter and disagree with the players on Trump being a problem in their lives. Saying that, if I'm coaching at an elite football university where 95% of my players are black, you have to react differently. Yes it would suck, but you fake it and go through with it to keep the support of your players.

I don't know Saban's political leanings but he did the correct actions from the position he was in. Those football players aren't like white liberals who fake all their feelings for attention, they truly believe they are being let down by society, racism is still a problem (which in some ways it is) but not imo to the extent most believe. They aren't faking it, they believe it, you support them as a head football coach.

you sound more like a government employee than you do someone who has to produce results to earn.

My god the players really are a bunch of snowflakes. They got mad because he said Trump treated him good and is doing a good job.....wow this generation is soooooo fricking soft. They are too ignorant to do the research Trump did more for blacks than any president in the past couple decades.

It's amazing that the players compete at a high level and the game grades players for future employment. When it comes to everything off the field many don't want to compete by merit and expect everything given to them, Most of them will face reality when they quit getting everything for free and have to work for it. Pointing the finger is easy. Not to get too political but name a few policies that democrats have that made life better for blacks.

Again you think that about Trump, but large numbers of Black Americans have had issues with Trump since a rape of a Stock Broker in Central park in the late 1980's. Trump put out an add in all the NYC papers saying they (5 teenagers) should be executed if convicted. Turns out 1 guy did it, not the 5 teenagers based on DNA evidence.

Trump's had a Big NYC arrogant mouth all his life. Yes, he appointed judges to the courts that I personally like, yes he got tough on Trade with China, yes, he got NATO to pay more. That is all fine and good, but when you are the LSU football coach, no need at all to get into politics. Coach Football, that is why there is a secret ballot.

I hate that they players didn’t feel support last year from Coach.
However, getting mad and not wanting to play because O supported Trump is disappointing.

The players could have made a stronger statement for their cause if they were winning and playing together.

Just a bad situation overall. No one was a winner.

But it's not just the players fault, it's the way these kids are raised now a days. Should rename it generation entitlement.

A major goal of the ptb is to produce serious racial discord. If the views of the young men who play football at LSU are representative, then they have accomplished this goal admirably. Accountability is all but gone from the world and maybe most in this so-called country. Those least accountable are those in the government and the beings who control them. I hope everyone enjoys what is to follow.

That is all true, There lots of Black Conservatives who are now coming out and saying that. Jason Whitlock on his show this summer went back to the Moynihan report in 1965 when the Civil rights of Blacks were now a fact. The report stated we need to invest in Black Men and Family which at that time was traditional 2 parent, some 77-80%, etc.

The Secular White Liberals at that time claimed such a policy was 1) Racist and 2) anti Woman. LBJ pivoted and went to the Great Society which subsidized single parent.

A young guy on his show named Delano Shields sounds like a young Thomas Sowell.

However, O praising Trump despite all that is not the way to go. More and More, the secular left with cancelling Dave Chappelle because a few years ago he would not wear a dress on his show and now netflix workers want to cancel him, I think more and more Black Americans are waking up to what the modern Left has become. Kyrie Irving is getting cancelled, maybe he is about to be red pilled.

But Trump could not find the nuance in the Summer of 2020 to say we can support Police and not defund them (an anti BLM narrative) while at the same time hold bad cops accountable when they go rogue, which most Black Americans in all polls want (80% are not for defunding the police).

I voted for Trump but his own big mouth is what did him in.
