That explains why NFL teams are after O and Kelly.

No athletic director in the country would take O over Freeman.
Not sure O is even employable anymore, at least in a top 50 program.

the number of posters who don't know the difference between "then" and "than" is shocking.

They're probably the same ones who use "should of."

Sad indictment of the public education system.

Freeman didn't come to LSU because when he and his wife visited when O wanted to hire him, they had girls at practice running routes, etc. Freeman's wife didn't feel it was a family environment.

Not everyone can handle positions of power. O is one of them.

Dude. You’ve been spewing diarrhea all over this board and the SEC rant this board trying to convince everyone that Freeman sucks and BK is a significantly better coach. It’s embarrassing.

Freeman is a win away from a title. Kelly didn’t make the playoffs and shite the bed against three very below average teams.

True. Personally, I really think CBK is a better coach than Freeman. Wish he’d SHOW us all this year.

Omg...at least know what your talking about.

1. Weis left kelly with a stocked roster. It was horrible coaching that got him canned.
2. The 2012 team was no where near as good as the current team. They averaged 25 pts a game and won most "big games" score 20 or less.
3. Its one of the few times nd had the personnel to play more 3-4...but there was ZERO depth behind the starting dline
4. The win vs oklahoma this year was the ONLY signature win kelly had in 12 years

Even the notre dame fans knew that the team wasnt the best, just the ball bounced the right way.

I know as the team stuck with kelly because of a ludicrous contract you want to rationalize how great kelly is.

Also kelly had been scuttling nd for three years before he left.

1. Kelly stopped recruiting. This is the number one reason nd fans were glad he left. He built a big arse lake house and spent his springs there. Not recruiting and not on campus. Had nothing to do with facilities. He was LAZY
2. He couldnt get along with harry heistand and when harry had enough the oline recruiting went to shite. Kelly hired his buddy jeff quinn and it was a dumpster fire. As soon as kelly quit, heistand came back to the team as oline coach.
3. The offensive coordinator role became a joke. When kelly bombed with his buddy as dc and mike denbock at oc, notre dame had to step in and fired both coordinators. It was the only reason kelly kept his job. Kelly couldnt get alone with hand picked replacement chip long at oc and ran him off. He couldnt get along with dc mike elko and ran him off. Replacing the oc with tommy reese who was garbage and ran duo exclusively. And a young clark lea, who was great but was young in his career and was kept under kelly thumb.

If you have a Heisman stud like Daniels and cant even make the playoffs....then youre a 2nd tier coach like Lincoln Riley with Caleb Williams. Are you gonna tell me Lincoln Riley is a 100 million dollar coach?....because he is Brian Kelly just at a different school. Lincoln Riley cant win the big game...Brian Kelly cant win the big game. Its not opinion...its fact. Freeman is just in his 3rd year into being a head coach and already in the Natty.....that again is fact. Just think if Freeman could get a Heisman type QB.....Notre Dame hasnt seen one of those since the 60's. You LSU fans have had the luxury of having two of them in the last 5 years and one coach new how to win it all with that Heisman QB....and one didnt. If

O is a better coach than no one. Dude fell into a historic season and has zero clue how it happened. This is obvious from the post 2019 collapse we apparently are still suffering from.

Kelly, maybe. But he needs to actually win something before I praise him too much

Well one of them is playing for the NC this year and the other one isn’t. Kelly clearly left ND in a good spot. Freeman capitalized on the opp. Both are good coaches. The rest is irrelevant. LSU fans are WAY too insecure that ND is in the title game. It’s like we thought they would close down the program. Move on.

I’d argue most of ND players are Freeman’s now. He didn’t do real well the first two seasons with CBKs team
