I heard 2-4 weeks which would suck but not even sure what happened. Does anyone have any information?

This was the latest from yesterday. Haven’t seen any new info today

quote:

In the postgame news conference, McMahon was asked about Thomas’ status.

“A lower leg injury, will be day-to-day,” McMahon said. “We were hopeful, as you saw, we listed him as doubtful last night. We were hoping he would wake up and respond well, but there was just no way he was going to be able to play. So we'll keep him in treatment and see how he responds here when we get back to Baton Rouge and need to get him back on the floor healthy as soon as possible.”

Thanks for the update. I'm guessing he got hurt at practice?

I guess we couldn't have been luckier schedule wise with USCe next. Hopefully he's better on the 10th for Vandy. The team will need him.

I’d sit him for SC. They should be able to win that without him. Hell if Sutton just has his normal game they beat TAM.

I think you’re right, he’s too important to rush back. As far as Sutton McMahon is going to have to adjust to get him going. He plays the 3 for us but he’s not like a Jordan Wright where you put him in the pick and roll on the wing. With the ball in his hands you want him to start 15-18 feet in so get him touches at the FT line and pinch post area. Should also have him at the 4 more often considering how well that worked vs SMU. Can’t have him just sitting in the corner waiting for someone to get him open.

Sutton plays a lot of 4, unless you think Tamba is picking up that role. Probably more than we thought when he started the season. Luckily Tamba has been like a taller Dji Bailey who doesn't need to shoot as much.

Sutton did seem to be holding his shoulder a lot early in the game and has been off shooting of late. Still puts in effort on defense and rebounding.

Tamba played every second vs ATM at the 4. Sutton had a guy who was 3 or 4 inches shorter on him most of the game. That matchup had to be exploited and wasn’t. He had 4 shot attempts, you’re not going to win a single game without DJ if that continues.

Sutton was grabbing his shoulder after that block early in the first half and never looked the same after that. May have tweaked his rotator.

I saw that but he didn’t seem to be favoring it most of the game or I didn’t notice him favoring it after the example you gave. He played 29 minutes, we ran one play for him early in the second half then nothing after that.

I’ve had that injury. It’s can only be painful when you raise your hand above your shoulder. His shite was off all game and he wasn’t being aggressive going to the hole. On the big defensive block he had he used his left hand. Hopefully it’s nothing major but for him not to have a single basket is unusual. He plays his normal game and they win even without DJ.

What injury? He played 29 minutes, you think he was kept out there with one arm? He got a little ding early on, we didn’t use him properly, we almost never do.

He avg 13 pts and 9 rpg. He had 3pts and 5 rebounds. Had nothing to do with how they used him. He was 0-4. You can play hurt. It can affect your shooting.

You just posted he had 4 shots. It didn’t affect his shooting, he didn’t get any shots. He had just as many free throw attempts so he’s ok to mix it up but not ok to shoot? Regardless of all that the fact is we didn’t run anything for him and we never do. The most he’s had the ball in his hands to initiate offense was SMU. Normally nobody notices because DJ initiates all the offense but with him out Sutton should be your main guy and instead we just ran the same offense with Reece. Now I see your angle, this is an excuse narrative you’re trying to create.
