I might have missed it in the past, but has Tiger Stadium ever posted Decibel numbers during a game to judge crowd noise?? It seems whenever a stadium shows the readings on their big screen - it gets even louder! Might not be a bad idea at times to keep the crowd intense the whole game long! I think the Guinness Record is 142.2 by KC Chiefs but not sure of the record for a college game.

For the Georgia someone was holding a meter and they showed it on the boards -- it was fun to see it go up.

Not sure who had it -- maybe Gordy Rush on the field??

It's going to shatter the Georgia game decibels.

I'll have mine in the South Endzone for Bama like I did for Georgia. Georgia peak was 112 by us. It was pretty close to the one on the board.

That's what they showed, but they were only measuring between plays. When they had sacks, INTs, it was MUCH louder.

I downloaded an app on my iPhone and it was getting up to 113-114 for MSU during INTs, and there were 15k worth of people not in their seats because of the rain.

I bet it gets up to 125+ for the Bama game if people occupy their seats and get LOUD.

I thought the record was at a Seahawks game? I think we can reach 120-125 this game.

The Seahawks have a stadium specifically designed for noise. If you put put the alabama game in that stadium and transported LSU fans there, that place would explode. Also the big deal is they can reach high peaks but LSU keeps a sustained noise unlike any other stadium I've ever seen. That's because of the fans.

reported to have hit 130 for the ‘07 Florida game.

that’s the loudest i’ve ever heard that Stadium.
yeah we hold an extra 20K now vs then, but still gonna be tough to top.

That's a cool app. Although, I think you would need to be on the field to get an accurate reading of the overall decibel level in the stadium. A phone app is only going to get a reading of your close proximity.

The Seahawks deliberately tried to break it though. One of those “on the count of 3 be as loud as possible.”

Tiger stadium’s loudness is natural. We could easily break the record with some lame attempt at solely breaking the record.

2016 Alabama was loud as shite. It’s virtually impossible to be louder than that with 11k less seats.

I know people are blinded by nostalgia and think nothing can top 2007 Florida or 2003 Georgia, but 11k more people are going to be louder. Especially with the upper decks closed in the horseshoe shape.

It would be great if they would post the levels on the big screens at different times in the game - I can't believe it would be louder at any other college stadium! If we did 130 for the Florida game that was epic - we could break that number! Earthquake Game and then break a decibel rating for a college game would be awesome!!

Someone could make a buck if they make some designed hard paper megaphones and pass them out on the DL before the game for like 5$.

Then we could focus the noise in Bama's direction. Not everyone has to have them for it to be impactful either. About 15% or 20% of the stadium and it could have a good impact. If you get it up to 50% Bama won't be able to hear shite. Could get something like that in easily and discard easily if needed. Don't go bragging about it or telling everyone. Just do it.

And when you give them out or sell them give them clear instructions to point in Bama's direction on and off the field at the sidelines and when calling plays, leave it on the field in their direction. It would rattle their helmets.

I really think that MSU game was louder in the early 1st quarter than the UGA game was.

not necessarily.
the acoustics is every bit as important as the number of people.

that’s why smaller stadiums in the northwest can accomplish the decibel levels they hit with half the people.

the extra 11 thousand the south upper adds may not add an appreciable amount of volume on field level.

I think the seahawks record is BS, don't they constantly play a horn or some shite through the speakers loud AF between plays?
