Do you know more about every sport than everyone else or is it just football and baseball?

What if this has a negative impact on the recruits? Would more hitters decide to take the MLB contract instead?
I don't see how playing with a thud-stick will help boost a power hitter's draft status. Get into the system, play with wood from day one, and get your big contract in year 3-5 anyway.

That is idiotic.

To be honest... NO SPORT would be profitable if they only let PURISTS watch.

A HUGE reason Im curious is HS will be forced to use the same bats.. If HS has the older bats and college has these thud sticks there isnt a chance in hell a power hitter doesnt sign. At least not until the MLB scouts can figure out what the norm is for a power hitter in college baseball.

Im also curious how the new bats could potentially screw up a lot of players swing. Going to wood would be the best solution but even then what does HS do if college goes to wood?

Does anyone think LSU is going to have to change their philosophy to pure small ball? It doesn't seem like we're getting any pop from these new bats, so keeping the old philosophy wouldn't make sense?

I'm hoping this is a knee-jerk reaction by the NCAA and they'll make some sort of compromise between dud and missle bats. It should only be this bad for one year.

I think we'll still be okay. This is gonna be a huge swing the balance of power towards pitching. We're a top program, and I think we will continue to recruit excellent pitchers.

Well, LSU's aggressiveness last year was a big part of why they were losing games(yes I know pitching sucked). The thing about it though, it seemed like when we finally got good pitching our bats just died. Leaving people stranded on base like crazy. With these changes, I don't see how you keep that kind of philosophy, especially with the loss of so many bats.

Then again, do you change what your philosophy has always been under PM?
