I have been critical of her play in the past, but I will give her credit; she was a big part of our win today. Perhaps she has gained some confidence and will be a factor going forward.

If any of the three of her, KG or MS can score in double digits we can beat anyone, and JR has also come a long way….give the big 3 a little help and again we can beat anyone

I don't know if we have the overall talent to beat the very best. We are a very good, tough team. Point guard has been an issue for two years. Smith's failure to return to her pre-injury form has hurt as well as the failure of Del Rosario. But, who knows.

I posted in the game thread that I don’t see it with her starting. But today she played tough and limited turnovers. I’ll eat my crow today.

Her defense on Georgia Amoore was the key to the win. Some of you just look at the box score.

It was almost as if she played against Amoore and Brooks coached teams for the last 3 seasons at Duke and Miami.

I'm kinda partial to Gilbert. She can score!

she needs to get better at FTs....and she missed a wide open easy layup...she actually tried to lay it up with both hands, like a shot...it was at a critical point, but we pulled it out anyway.

Her play has improved somewhat though.

went up after last night by 4% just last game. She is a damn near 70 % FT shooter for her career. Maybe she hasn’t gotten a lot of attempts. Maybe they weren’t critical when she did except at the end of the game like she did yesterday.

Stick with the odds that there are very few Nick Anderson’s out there.
