I think Aranda is a brilliant mind & the defense held a team that has been lights out all season to 10 points. I love Coach O & all that's he's done for LSU these past few weeks. Aranda is the future we need to lock this guy down. Give him the job & pay the man. I truly believe if we let him leave it will be a big mistake. Hire Aranda let him hire his own staff.

Aranda might leave this year if he gets a good enough HC offer. Dude is a superstar already. We won't keep him for long unless we make him HC which would be very risky but I'm not entirely against it.

Has Aranda ever been quoted to say he wants a head job? NOt every coach wants the title. SOME coaches are self aware & happy being a top notch coordinator. See Chavis.

I say bonus Aranda & give him every tool he needs at DC to keep him happy at LSU for as long as possible.

I agree very risky. But I think with a solid Offensive coordinator hire the sky is the limit with this team. I'm very proud of the defense & Aranda after last night.

Beware the old Peter Principle. He is an incredible DC. But that does not mean he is ipso facto an incredible HC. I would bonus him like crazy to keep him at LSU long as possible, and not allow any new HC to even think about moving him out.

One would hope that LSU is having meetings with Aranda and find out ''exactly'' what the man wants to make him stay. He would be a great head coach. Let's not forget Saban is not and offense minded coach either but he is smart enough to know how to hire a damn good one,i have no doubt Aranda would do the same.Do Not F this up Aleva!!!!

Well said I would be having meetings with this guy immediately. There will be a lot of openings this year & wouldn't want someone else courting him.

I actually think Aranda could be the next Saban. I just don't know if Alleva will take that risk. He needs to learn how to manage a program and recruit at a high level first IMO.

Yes because Saban coaches Alabamas offense.

I don't think he cracked the Saban code, I think he made Kiffin look extremely average with a sea of 5 star recruits.

We cannot let Aranda leave this program. That defense was just as good as any Saban has fielded. If we have to promote him to HC, frick it it's worth the risk.

First time since 2007 that Bama has been shut out til the 4th quarter. Chavis couldn't do what Aranda did to Bama and look at the talent A&M has. Im on board with Aranda as Head Coach let's hire a solid OC. We have already seen what Aranda can do in the SEC. He's proven on the defensive side & as a leader. Players will buy into Aranda players respect him.

Btw LSU fans with shite a brick if he's going to a SEC Rival.

He definitely has the defense clicking. It reminds me of previous Tiger defenses in the past. We can't afford to lose Aranda.

Hey Dave, you want $5 million bucks and to be the head guy at an elite program?

"Nah, bruh, I'm good."

I seriously doubt a guy with his acumen and ambition would do that.

I have to say that at first , I was against Aranda being considered for Head Coach but after what I have seen all season long and especially last night and the fact that we would have an articulated person that can speak very well to media and kid's parents, like many on here , I am willing to take the chance. Alleva needs to forget the ole has to have Head Coach experience, I believe Dabo Sweeney has been pretty darn successful having never been a head coach till he took over Clemson for Tommy Bowden.

I agre Aranda is one of the best dC in the country but part of Alabamas stagnant offense is Hurts can not hit a bull in the butt with a base fiddle. He is not a good passer. At least not yet he may grow into a good passer but he is still a true freshman.

Aranda has zero head coaching experience. The last time we promoted a beloved, promising young coordinator with no prior head coaching record, we got Mike Archer.
