Rightfully so the DC and the other coaches are drawing a lot of criticism, but it’s becoming more obvious that our talent level isn’t where it should be,

The talent level at LSU even with injuries is higher than the teams that beat LSU. This clearly points to terrible coaching.

Jones does not fit even the average catagory...better coaches at the high school level than both the oc and dc....what a shame....just makes you sick

Hard to hire the best if they won’t come

You can’t exactly throw the whole bank at the coordinators because you still paying an exorbitant amount of money for the piss poor hires the year before….

To be fair, I remember a lot more uncertainty surrounding Jones. This board fell hard for Peetz though.

Nailed it, really thought Peetz would be more innovative and our offense would be a strength.

Thought Daronte was a below average hire and he’s doing about what I expected.

It's not just about money.

It became very clear last offseason that no reputable coordinator wants O as their boss. That's how you wind up with your 7th choice like we did.

I agree with you. But money always talks in the end. If you gonna pay a coordinator 3+ million a year, they will come.

Problem is we paying O like he’s a top 5 coach now and we paid a ton to Pelini. I’m sure O was given a budget, and just with that, he can’t attract good guys b/c they know there’s a good chance he’d be out after this year if the season goes like it’s been……

I’ll say this for Daronte though, he’s isn’t exactly coaching with a full deck of cards. Raymond has the Recruiting Coordinator title, but we all know Orgeron is the one leading that and he’s done a terrible job with roster management.

From numbers, leaving numerous positions on this roster lacking depth, to evaluations bringing players in that don’t fit the style his coaches want to play, or vice versa and he bringing in coaches that don’t fit the style of the players already here.

Not to even mention the lack of ability of the coaches he has hired or signed off on hiring, to coach up the players that are currently here.

Worst part is that people want to now act like LSU has played anyone worth a shite. UK is having a good season y their standards, but the only team with a pulse they have played is a very flawed UF team. Other than that, they have been mediocre against bad teams. Their next best win outside of UF before LSU was Mizzou.

That is what makes this even more embarrassing. They had their best offensive game and first without a turnover on offense of the season where they are averaging 2.4 turnovers/game against awful defenses.

At the end of the season, this may be a slightly better loss than last year’s MSU game.

This shite show will be over soon. If Woodward makes the right hire, the talent is there to turn it around fast.

So why are we giving Woodward a pass for allowing O to hire shite coordinators for this season?

He fooled a whole lot of posters on here into thinking he knew what to do. Knowing what I already knew about him, it made me sick to see he bullsh*ted his way into LSU!

Not including Pelini's disaster last season, Daronte Jones has the worst LSU defense since 1998 when Lou Tepper had the 91st (out of 112 teams at the time).

Well last year is pretty relevant. Is it better?

I would give him a break. I just don't think it was wise to hire two first time coordinators for a program of this caliber.

But, I bet O could not get anyone that was interested with experience. There is a learning curve with all jobs and he should have realized we would not afford that.

We played so bad vs Kentucky . It looked like we were not ready to defend the run. Guys were never in the right gap or played with bad leverage all game. That’s all coaching, I don’t care how talented you are if you can’t count on the guy next to you to do his job. And someone explain to me how Bj Ojulari can’t get out of his stance when the balls snapped . His get off is all time bad and we haven’t addressed it and the seasons half over.
