Could we win it, sure. Are we the favorites, no. Really weird question. Deserves every downvote you get.

Returning 11/11 starters on offense will be insane for next year's team. Most importantly is returning 5/5 on the O-line.

This season ESPN has LSU as the 14th ranked in terms of FPI Offensive Efficiency. Should only improve next year considering the new faces that will only get better with another off-season.

Did you see Alabamas back up QB this year? They will have to get one from the portal to contend

Alabama and Georgia will still have a team of 4 and 5 star players. They will still have good coaches.
Polian will still be our ST Coach.
We still have a QB who can't throw on time or throw players open, until he proves me wrong.
T A&M proved we are capable of losing to any SEC team, with the exception of Vanderbilt.

Defense is still a huge question mark, RB we don't have a #1 and honest JD still can't read the field and we don't know if nuss or walker are ready. This team has a bunch of question marks and recruiting class didn't help LB, DB or dline like we expected

I like to see enthusiasm as long as it doesn’t turn toxic once it doesn’t come true. LSU won’t be favored to win the west. Much less CFP champions.
You have to think there are quite a few schools ahead of lsu.
Georgia,Alabama,Ohio st, Michigan, USC, Clemson are all very likely favored above us. There are also some schools that might have a similar line as us. Texas, Kansas st (if Vaughn returns), Oregon, Tennessee, notre dame.

Championship favorites next year? No. Will we legitimately compete for a championship next year? Absolutely.

Alabama has questions but always find the answers. No drop off at all. Favorite in SEC West for sure.

Penn State

Continues to be rewarded for being utterly mediocre and losing to the only two schools worth a damn every single year.
