Bama has more questions that qb. Still don’t have elite receivers, losing all American edge rusher, excellent lb, offensive line will be sub par for their standards.

With LSU returning almost all players and adding depth and getting Maason Smith are huge factors. Perkins will be all American, Denver Harris will be excellent if he can buy in and align, offensive line will be one if the best, Mason Taylor will be all conference, Josh Williams will be great but we need another rb that can be a game changer, best wide receivers in college.

My worries are consistent qb play (even though it’s much better than average), corner backs, safeties and we will need a stiff middle linebacker to step in.

It doesn’t matter what we’re ranked. If we win on the field it will reflect in rankings. You guys know this?

I thought we cured all the Kennel Blindness from last year, but I see it’s reared ugly head again…

That means absolutely nothing. That 5star experience? Nope. Good try

We’ll go as Daniels’ goes. If he improves as a passer, we’ll be trouble for everyone we play. If he doesn’t, then we’ll have a similar year as far as the record is concerned.

No they won’t it’s about the productivity you have coming back and how many starts per starter has lsu will be in the top 6 preseason mark my word look at the coaching staff everyone is returning ! LSU does not have to replace a coordinator that hasn’t happened in years and they damn near have their whole offense returning !!! Defense will be the question mark and they are not done in the portal yet!!

VERY late in the season we were still ranked 5.

And we proved to be VERY undeserving of that ranking.

Can't help but believe ( maybe hope is the right word) that one of these years their 5 star plays like a 3 to 4 star, at least as a freshman resulting in a couple of losses. Milroe didn't show a lot of passing ability, but he started ahead of Simpson. Doubt Holstein is ready for this large stage. Their WR group will be very young if Burton declares for the draft. This may be a rare transition year for them.

FSU might knock us right out of it to start the season too. That coach seems to have BK’s # .

I don't think favorites but in the Top 10

I think that we improve this offseason much more than we did last offseason and that we'll be elite by the end of the year

The only unit I'm not sure of is Special Teams but with the added depth we should see much improvement there (maybe most improved unit)

USC, Oregon and Texas might be ranked higher. I seriously doubt Tennessee. Hooker was their team. I see LSU as 8 or a little higher.

With a returning starting QB, solid recruiting and portal class coming off a West Title? You are on crack if you don’t think that gets a consensus Top 10 preseason ranking. It will be somewhere between 6-10.

None of those QBs are proven. Even Quinn Ewers turned out to not be a sure thing at Texas, at least not consistently. Clemson hasn’t been recruiting as well recently and has been losing guys to the portal and not bringing anyone in because Dabo is too stubborn to adjust. They aren’t going to get any love in the preseason polls after they flopped in a terrible conference this year, especially with FSU on the rise.

Does LSU have the talent to compete?

In the starting 22, absolutely. Depth will still be an issue, especially at LB.

We shall see.

As Al Davis said, "Just win, baby."

It will be a mimic of this year. Nothing changes at the qb position and that’s really all that matters with a guy that holds the ball as long as he does and panics in the pocket. Defense should be better though. It will be a 8-4, 9-3 kind of year
