I do believe that he will have 2 years of eligibility, and I've been told that he's been looking really good so far with our offense. I think that you will see yet another full blown QB competition this off-season, he is a Pro-Style QB for those who can't remember.

Better than BH? If so, play him in the bowl game.

I don't see why any position on the team shouldn't be up for open competition.

He is not eligible to play in the bowl game.

He is very accurate, something Harris struggles with at times. He was running for his life at Purdue. If LSU oline stays basically intact there is a very good chance he will be the man in 2016. Decent protection and we've got us a good QB to go with the ground game. May be a very good year coming up. We shall see.

I don't know why anyone would downvote healthy competition at the QB position.

I think he will be a very decent QB that will eventually start before the end of next year. He will not be a world beater, but he will be serviceable.

Check his college numbers out and explain to me where this "he is accurate" stuff comes from? What in the past gives you the idea he will be "the man in 2016"? Just curious.

I have not seen or read anything that backs those statements up, other than wishful thinking. His completion percentage was in the 50s and his TD to Interception ratio is worse than Harris and Jennings. And that was against Big 10 defenses versus the SEC Harris and Jennings have gone against. I'd love to have a backup QB with all the potential some are claiming for Etling. I just haven't seen the evidence. Am I missing something?

It blows my mind that post has 16 downvotes like wow I say that our pro style transfer has been transitioning good into our offense and has looked good with the team and I get downvotes

I think he'll give everyone a run for their money. He and McMillan are in the same boat with Etling having more experience.

Maybe better Ol, wrs, rb? More experience? He is very smart and all we need is serviceable who has a high football IQ and can complete critical 3rd and 7 passes. Not like bama has trotted out superstars...just smart serviceable qbs... Its all LSU needs. If Harris can suddenly read a defense and complete a short pass...then he is our man. If he can't, consistently, then it appears we have options.
