I can't imagine the excitement that Etling, who grew up idolizing and trying to emulate Drew Brees, has right now knowing he is about to play in the Superdome.
He went from sleeping with a poster of Brees on the wall next to his bed, to being the starting quarterback for Purdue, to moving to Louisiana and now starting QB in a nationally televised football game in the dome that Brees built. Quite a journey. Very happy for him!
