Danielson's opening comments to Auburn game can't hurt recruiting

"I love doing this game, its a bring your big boy pants game. These players came to these schools to play physical football."
I am paraphrasing what he said, but he was clearly excited about calling a game between what he considered two big boy programs. That couldn't hurt if any recruits were watching/listening.

Danielson is a AU homer. Recruits don’t care about the what a commentator say most are at the game anyways.

Auburn fans were calling him an LSU homer. That's how you know an announcer is not biased, when fans from both teams claim he is.
LSU is recruiting more than a hundred kids, most of whom were not at the game and some of whom have posted videos of themselves watching the game.
Of course a kid is not going to LSU because of what an announcer said at one game. It does help the image of your school when it is on national tv in a big game environment and the announcers appear genuinely excited to be at the game.

Retard litmus test: “Gary Danielson is terrible!”
Followed closely by
“Marcus Spears (or insert former player between 2000-07ish) hates LSU and only loves Saban.”

The 2011 Bama/LSU game was one of the most exciting games I’ve ever watched and the final score was 9-6. I think it set the record for most future NFL players on one field and you could tell.

The amount of money LSU would have to pay for that type of publicity would be astronomical. It was the game of the year, on national tv, with football fans from everywhere watching.
And throughout the game the announcers went on and on about the future NFL talent on the field.
I think that exposure benefitted LSU for years after.
The LSU Auburn game this year was not nearly on that level, but even so LSU benefitted tremendously from the exposure.
Kids want to play in big games on national tv. Only a handful of schools offer the opportunity to play in as many big games as LSU will this year.
The Miami game and Auburn games were great exposure for our program. And we have another handful of big boy games to play this year.

Oh, it's definitely a boost.
There are certain games you come across on the national level, where rankings are secondary, and the real draw is those two teams on the field against each other. Games like Ohio State-Michigan, Oklahoma-Texas, etc. Used to be Oklahoma-Nebraska.
I'd say LSU-Auburn falls into that group. Random viewer in another part of the country is channel surfing, comes across that, will say "oh, LSU vs Auburn. Those are always great games, I'm going to watch".
Kids want to be part of things like that.

I would put LSU-Bama in that group as well. Especially on a National level.

good lord. Danielson is from Michigan, still lives there, I believe. Went to Purdue, played pro ball in Detroit and Cleveland.
No connection whatsoever to Auburn, and is nowhere close to an Auburn homer.
OP is a child.

The only thing Danielson is a homer for is eye lift surgeries.
