Danielson is my favorite hands down. He does his homework and brings a lot of knowledge to the game. In '06 he brought a chart to the SECCG showing the logic of why UF should play in the BCSCG instead of Mich. It was pretty convincing.

He's okay at best. Far from best color guy in the business. Constantly messes up names and says stupid shite.

this thread is a repeat from after saturday. the same thing went down. at first i was thinking that i hate danielson too. then i realised it was vern that i dont like. danielson is legit. vern is a douche. i think alot of the people who dont like him think that way because of the assclown he announces with. guilty by association if you will.

I'm with all the Danielson supporters here. He's got a great ability to often see a play before it develops, and when that's not the case, he's at least remarkably quick at diagnosing what happened. You may think it's obvious in hindsight when watching a replay, but he's got to do that thinking extremely quickly such that he can sound coherent on a live broadcast (i.e. Peterson's miscommunication in coverage on UGA's last TD drive that led to the 35-40 yard pass down the sideline). I know I don't learn much of anything from watching the vast majority of color commentators, but you really do get a decent sense of X's and O's when listening to a Danielson broadcast. He is an excellent, excellent analyst. I'm flabbergasted that anyone would say that people 'fluffing him' have no knowledge of football. You may not like him, but that's plain dumb. Sure he fawns over the really great football players at times, but you know what? Let him. He just has a genuine appreciation for talent, and it's not biased towards an individual school. Someone else on here posted that he did the same thing in OUR favor in 06-07 with Dorsey, Bowe, etc. and that's absolutely right. Tebow may be the greatest QB in NCAA history, so what if Danielson shows him a little too much love? I can live with it.
This thread is amusing because I see some names on this thread who've come to Danielson's defense in the past as well as doing it again right here...isn't it funny how this thread seems to recur EVERY TIME we play a CBS game??

I have nothing against Danielson, but Finescum thats a different story. I think Danielson stock goes down on Finescum show. Its like the Jerry Springer show of sports talk

Bradshaw is much better than he is often given credit for but some of that is his fault. He likes to be funny and play the rube but I think it makes people forget that he is a 4-time Super Bowl winner who really knows the game. Would like to see him in the booth more as I think he has gotten a tad stale in the studio.

I've really grown to appreciate Danielson over the years. I used to hate him but he really does give great analysis.
