That is taking it a bit far, but I understand what you mean. Look, the reason is simple. Scar tissue. Daniels looks more like a running threat QB than passing threat QB. We had very little high level success at LSU with run first QBs, see Jefferson.
To many people on this board thinks its about Daniels the person, its not, its what they envision in their minds eye is the best way to win the SEC and natty. Not many Daniels type QBs win at that level, but Joe Burrow and Tua type QBs have had great success in that area. People like Nuss because he is a pass first QB. Howard more fits that mold than Daniels. Its nothing more complicated than that...
Just because they do not want Daniels to be QB, does not mean they do not appreciate Daniels and his contributions.

Well, to me he looks like a quarterback who accounted for 3800 yards of total O, 28 total touchdowns, with a 69% completion rate, three interceptions, defeated Bama, and won the West.
I don’t recall any RBs having that type of performance.
He did that for a team that didn’t have a winning record in their previous two years and was picked to come in fifth in the west.
The only reason people can even say the words national championship and winning the SEC is because of what LSU was able to accomplish this year with Daniels as QB.
I hope Nuss blows the doors off whenever he takes over, but the only thing he’s done to this point in time is to throw almost as many interceptions as touchdowns.

Were you arguing for Beckwith to replace Welter even though Welter sacrificed his body? I’m not arguing about the QB, just pointing out how silly your argument is.
