I can’t see how the JD lovers can’t see this fact. Nuss is your prototypical pro QB. His ceiling and pro potential is light years ahead of JD’s. I would be surprised if JD even has any opportunities at starting as a QB in the NFL.

They aren’t JD lovers they are just afraid to criticize Kelly because they pumped so much sunshine.

Kelly did a great job this year. Far exceeded most of our expectations. But the handling of these QB’s is very Les Miles like.

We have a lot of very ignorant fans. They turn on a player as soon as they enter the portal. Calling them bitches and quitters. It’s pretty embarrassing from grown men who are most likely overweight and couldn’t step on a football field for a single play

So you admit you’re basing this meltdown on his recruiting ranking. His projection from 247 was a day 2 draft pick. So, maybe not quite on a different level from Daniels and Nuss.

My point is that you threw away that potential for something YOU ALREADY KNOW is a given. That given is Daniels being too fricking scared to throw it downfield to open up the passing game.

Daniels is just not fricking good enough to win a championship if he continues to throw 80 yard games.

The problem I have is that you’re content with 80 yard passing games. You’re okay with the staff putting a 5* QB on scout team wasting his talent for a motherfricker who threw less then a 100 yards on MULTIPLE occasions

I'd have never brought him in.

Hates Daniels so much they hate that he came in and beat Bama and won the West.

quote:

Agree - BK better have a short leash on Daniels next season. No points in the 1st 3 series then pull him and put Nuss in the game.

Has nothing to do with Howard.

quote:

He needed to leave. The ceiling of Howard is exponentially higher than Daniels is right now. Especially since we’ve seen how he reacts when a team drops 7-8 in zone coverage.

What does this have to do with Howard leaving? He wouldn’t have been starter next year if Daniels left.

quote:

The plan should have always been Nuss next season (with Walker getting significant backup playing time) and Howard starting the year after.

Or Daniels starts next year, Nuss leaves, and it’s Howard’s show after that. Same situation.

quote:

Nuss is your prototypical pro QB

No he’s not. He’s a gunslinger, not a prototypical pro qb.

quote:

I would be surprised if JD even has any opportunities at starting as a QB in the NFL

But Nuss does? Based on what exactly?

quote:

I would have never allowed JD to return. We just gave up our future for another 8-9 win season.

LSU just won 10 games and will start out as a top 10 team with Daniels as a Heisman contender. Any true LSU fan who follows recruiting knows the future is fine.

quote:

With how Nuss looks, you could make the argument that he could’ve been drafted after next season with Howard slated to start the next year

Yep, these are the kinds of stupid mutherfrickers who see Howard leave and think it’s because of Daniels staying and not Nuss. This logic never made any sense, but people gonna keep on saying it. It’s about hate, not reason or objectively.

I would like it to be known that I am okay with the 3rd best QB on the team running with the 3rd team offense in practice.

What does Daniels have to do with a third string freshman?

I see that the ability to think not one, but two, steps ahead escapes you.

Walker Howard is not better than Jayden Daniels right now. That's all that matters.

You don't bench a better player to appease someone who's not yet ready.

This makes zero god damn sense. Walker Howard is not starting for you in 2022 no matter who is on the roster. He’s not starting in 2023 either, with or without Daniels on the roster.

What is your suggestion here? Do you think Howard should start this season? Do you think he should have started this past season?

It’s like you think LSU has him on a long term contract and needs to develop him. He’s not playing before 2024 at the absolute earliest. What fricking good does his potential do when he’s very clearly the 3rd best player at his position?

What? ...he's supposed to have some type of special privilege or something?
Does Kelly suppose to coddle him and give him the job or would you want him to earn it on the field?

Howard has proved absolutely NOTHING at this level of college football... and to be honest, he hasn't looked like anything special in his limited game time and in the spring game. If he wants to go somewhere and be handed the starting job, so be it. Next man up...

You mfs are so damn stupid. BK gets payed MILLIONS to win games he knows wtf he’s doing. He’s literally incentivized to win, if he thinks a qb gives them a better chance to win he’ll play them. And I promise you you don’t know better than him.

So, you start with a personal insult. Then, you make an appeal to authority, and end with "I promise".

All of that in a half paragraph -- hard to imagine a worse example of reasoned debate.

Stetson Bennett just won back to back championship. Is he the type of “5* QB talent” needed to win? Stfu

Also, how often have the top NFL qb’s or top picks played for championships in general. This idea that you need a highly rated superstar qb to win in college is just not true.

It’s not hard to look up just since like 2000, the qb’s who have played for and won championships. It’s not an impressive list. Someone named Jake Coker won with Bama, and McCarron won two in a row.

You don’t know this. Howard could be a complete disaster at QB. Many highly rated high school QBs are once they get to the college level

Just like YOU don't know that Walker has an "entitled piss boy attitude" attitude, or that he "isn't good enough for the SEC".

No some people just aren’t stupid enough to think they know better than a coach who watched them all year at practice and gets paid millions to make these decisions. Y’all crying over losing a 3rd string QB because he has a high rating on 247
