Dandy Don's Thanksgiving Message

As many of us enjoy reading Dandy Don's site frequently I'm reminded that none of us live forever. Don has a wealth of memories of just about everything LSU Tiger. Someday it will be gone except for all he has shared on his website. I'm thankful for all the time and effort Don and his family members have contributed for a very unique LSU Tiger Website. I cannot imagine the hours that have been invested in his special website. Take a moment to read this years Thanksgiving Message, I promise you will enjoy what he has to share. It will leave you remembering your own time growing up and how blessed we are to have Don's accounts of LSU sports.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

TenTex

I wonder if the blueberries on his white suite turned it purple?

that was the first site (except maybe for some work-related research stuff) that I ever visited on the internet. I always enjoy the Thanksgiving message.

What a tremendously poignant account of his childhood. I am not easily moved, but I felt like weeping after I read that. With his own unique folksy style, DD really evokes life on a small Louisiana farm in the days before modernization. It's miraculous and wondrous to imagine that a fellow Tiger fan lived a life so different from my own. We are nothing alike, but every Saturday in the fall we share the common hope of the Purple and Gold. This is why I love Louisiana and why I will never regret venturing far from the familiarities of home for college.
