He has always responded to my emails. I really appreciated the fact that when you read his column it was mostly neutral with no opinion one way or another but when you email him personally he fires his opinion left and right.

Don, you deserve a lot of credit for growing LSU's fan base. You are the voice of the common fan, without the lunatic. My prayers are with you and your family and may this season be the best ever! Maybe one day soon you'll be honored midfield at Tiger Stadium for all your contributions to the Tiger Nation.

Prayers to you Dandy I have always enjoyed reading your site first thing in the morning then going over to Tiggerdroppings... also i also love reading the holidays versions when he would talk about his childhood.. i read some ot my family and we all cried!!!!! I am really overwhelmed with this news, so felt compelled to sent Scott the email below:
Scott,
I was caught off guard by reading your comments about your father as I actually saw it initially on Tiggerdroggings.com. I had gone to DandyDon.com like I do every morning, but when I got down to the score predictions, I did not read any further and missed your message earlier.
Some time ago, I sent Dandy Don an email to thank him for the job he does every day. I happen to reside in the Atlanta area, but am originally from Monroe, where my family and my wife’s family currently live. Every day I sit down with my first cup of coffee and immediately go to the website to read the current news about the goings on at LSU. I bleed purple and gold and I know I don’t need to tell you that, but for some of us that live away from the state of Louisiana it is our “fix”. We appreciate it.
I am saddened at this time to hear about your father’s current health issues. I have been through something similar with my father, but thanks to MDA, he is healthy and going strong today. I trust your entire family is united and trying to deal with this thing together now. I know you all just went through a time with your mother.
Your father and your entire family will be in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all and again thanks for all you guys do.
