So Sad.

Condolences to the Long family.

Loved his stories of Louisiana life when he was a boy.

We all will miss him.

How can you love a man you've never met? I loved him, his blog, his humor, and his balance, and the type of man he was. We hope Scott will continue on his legacy for many years to come for all of the LSU faithful who've grown to love both the man Don Long and his site dandydon.com !

Our prayers are with his family at this time of their loss, but we will always have fond memories of him. I've started my mornings too for years by reading his blog. He will be missed greatly!

He was a very kind man, he rated my son in the state top 100 in football. He helped allot of people.

Ditto.

Nice guy. May he rest with his spouse. I know she passed away rather recently and he missed her.

His site was my first source for LSU sports info when I got online back in the '90s. Reading his page remained part of my daily routine for the next 15 years. I met him a couple of times at the Recruiting Bash, and he couldn't have been nicer. He was a gracious and eternally positive gentleman; someone all LSU fans and alumni should strive to emulate.

That crazy old man who loved his tigers is the reason I found this site so many years ago.
