LSU will still be in great shape at the running back position, even without Ridley. Michael Ford will likely enter Spring practice number one on the depth chart followed by Spencer Ware and Alfred Blue.

DD, did you not watch the Cotton Bowl?

Ford is great, but why in God's name would Ware not be number one on the depth chart? Ford is shifty, but we pound the ball at LSU. Ware has all the qualities of a Les Miles LSU running back. I beg to differ...

Ware is easily the fastest RB we have that can run between the tackles. It will be fun to see what Les can do next season with Ware getting some PT

If both are used equally it will be the best case scenario for LSU.IMO.

Ford is a beast, he is the strongest guy on the team, and potentially the most explosive RB on the roster. I think his lack of PT this year was because of his ability to p/u blitzes/ pass protection. I think he will be motivated to step it up and win the starting position in camp.

Is it just me or does Ford rarely run between the tacles? Seems every time Ford gets the ball its outside the tackles.

It'll be interesting to see how they use them this fall. I'm ready for next season already... I can't wait 8 months

We should probably use 1 game to determine the runningback of the future

They're both great backs, and will battle it out in the spring. Either way its a good problem to have.

Probably needs to wait for an OC to be named before putting out a 2 deep depth chart.

yes, i've noticed this too. if he's the more powerful back, why wouldnt we use him like ridley?

BOTH Ford and Ware are unproven.
They have talent, but we don't know if either or both are adequate substitutes for Ridley.
Right now, there are serious questions about our offense going into next year.
I like our defense.

I actually have fewer questions about the O. 2 QB's back, 4/5 OL (plus whichever C does not start), all the TE's, 2/3 WR's. the only questions I really have are whether Mett takes the reins and who teh OC will be. Ford vs. Ware should not matter much because both will play and both have shown ability.

the D will be missing Nevis, Shep, and PP, in addition to Levingston. In other words, the best player at each level of the D will be gone. I'm more worried about that.

Ford is faster than ware

Ware looks to have a better overall skillset

Thunder and lighting will be fun to watch

Our 'problem' at RB is a good one to have.

2011 could see another 'Dalton-James' gang duo. Time to name them
