So... Daniels was "so unlike Burrow", but had better 1st year numbers at LSU across the board. More yards, more TDs, less interceptions, higher completion percentage, more rushing TDs and over double the rushing yds.

He had better completion percentage because he would never throw into coverage if any sort - he only threw to wide open receivers his first year. His rushing totals benefitted from never throwing into tight coverage - he ran instead. These facts are undeniable.

Daniels improvement in being willing to throw from year 1 to year 2 at LSU tremendous.

That's not entirely true.

Early in 2022, Daniels threw a lot to our preseason All American WR, Kayshon Boutte. He gave him 50/50 balls, he threw to him when open. Boutte was probably one of the selling points for getting Daniels to come here.
And Boutte proceeded to drop almost everything. So Daniels had to scramble, and had to figure out who MIGHT catch what he threw them. He settled on a freshman TE and a WR who couldn't field a punt to save his life (Nabers), but that took time to determine.

He came into 2023 trusting his receivers, and they produced.
It's similar to the Summer of 10000 Catches that went on with Burrow and his crew, they went from drops to superstars too. Daniels didn't force things as much as Burrow might have in 2018, because unlike Burrow, he could also run for 100 yds a game if he had to. If Burrow could do that, he might not have thrown as much either.

JD was a good QB for a team that had a shaky offensive line. Yes he missed receivers and yes he held the ball too long. he didn't trust his Oline, he didn't trust his receivers and he didn't trust his instincts. So don't give me its all JD's natural ability and intellect that did it. It was great QB development and the building of the trust of his Oline, his receivers and himself. His natural ability allowed him to surpass all other QB's once his intellect was developed.

He was horrible at reading defenses his first year here. It’s ok to admit he made massive progress between years.
