Yep. Josh Pate went off on this very thing. The requirements to be successful here are the same as they are anywhere.

Bebe was a mistake but the real clown was Alleva and we were never going to get a long time quality AD with him in charge, I was told that on a national radio show on the air by Mark Parker, who at one time worked for LSU. He added people in Baton Rouge just don’t realize what a national joke he is.
Bebe was a gap coach and gave us the best season in history, it couldn’t have worked out any better for us. We got rid of the real clown, a favorite son gave us the greatest season in history and we got our long time coach.
This is always the way it had to happen, and it worked out beautifully
