as long as DJ Welter does not trot out onto that field the first game then I am not worried about LBs

There is not a single white defensive player on scholarship at LSU. You don’t have to worry about a DJ Welter type player finding the field

Queen and Clark will play a lot though

Based on what?

Just because LSU has depth at LB does not mean all of them will see the field.

Like several other before him, it takes a while to learn the discipline of playing linebacker. Guys like him, that are big and can really move, play all over the field in high school and generally just go after the ball. That is what kept Beckwith off the field so much for his first year and a half. He just kept going after where he thought the ball was going and leaving the middle of the field wide open. Once that light bulb goes off for the player, there playing time goes way up. We were spoiled by White and Phillips as you generally don't see a player pick it up that well their freshman year.

Based on the 2 starters won’t play every snap. Even Devin White took series’ off to rest.

We should not argue about which guy starts or plays the most. We will need them all and they will play a lot and stay fresh. Great depth is the most important part

Queen played great against Bama when Devin White was out. I didn’t notice any dropoff.
