I know I shouldn't be surprised, but this hire actually exceeded my expectations. Craig is literally one of the best recruiters in the conference that was not on our staff.

How Auburn let him get away borders on staggering.

No, because for one I wasn't impressed with Ball.

I still feel it's an upgrade + beast recruiter.

He has had success with receivers, and he can help us get the best players. He can also bring knowledge to the qb position and ideas on the spread.. He and Cam can mix it up.

Miles is officially not F'ing around

Now if he will just let them coach and not frick it up on game day, we should be just fine.

I think Alleva is forced to either fire miles or work with him to get the best in the country. option 1 did not work. option 2 is in place

I think this is 100% correct. With the inconsistency of the Men's Bball program and the women's falling off a cliff, on top of the major PR gaffe he orchestrated at the end of the season, Alleva has to know that is only chance to keep his job is Miles winning big again. That's the only way I think that the shift from last offseason to this one can be explained. He went from going cheap and being rigid on certain contract points to handing out cash and extensions to everyone, and making 3 head-turning hires.

I still don't like Alleva, but at least this version is tolerable.

He recruits with the best of them, He develops QBs, he coaches WRS, AND he was an assistant SPECIAL TEAMS coach for the Miami Dolphins. j Thanks Coach Miles.

If you think back to his days at Auburn, you can see that he learned from the best. Jimbo was the QB coach there at the time, and Craig is still one of his best examples of taking a raw athlete and turning him into a great college QB. Go back and watch him go toe to toe with UT and Payton Manning in the 1997 SEC Championship Game if you don't remember. Craig carried that entire team on his back.

But you have to think about what he brings to the table for our QB's and passing game. Besides, he coached receivers at AU, so he's not totally unfamiliar with the position.

I forgot he was recruiting coordinator for FSU looks like he had the #1 and #2 classes back in 2011/2012.

Solid hire wish Miles would let Cam go and let DC run the offense.
