D1 Baseball: LSU Baseball may have found a unicorn in Landon Hood

I know we're in the midst of football (and legal) season, but I saw this and thought some of you may enjoy it. It's just a quick 48 second clip, so not too long.
SIAP. It's been hard to keep up these last few days...
He has very high praise for Hood that's backed up by some stats he provides.
He also says "It's just everything you want to see in somebody..." "You've gotta throw strikes and miss bats, and he does both..." "He does a little bit of that unicorn thing where he can throw the ball in the zone and still miss bats".
This has the potential to be an epic year for the big 3 sports.

I understand why there's some doubt after last year. I don't know if they'll make Omaha, but I'd bet my life's savings (all $3.50) that they'll make the postseason. I'd go so far as to say they'll even host a regional. The transfers we got this year, while still unknown commodities at LSU, are completely different than the ones Jay took in last year.
I'm excited for this upcoming baseball season. Speaking of, I wonder when their fall practice begins. I'd imagine it should be sometime soon. Maybe within the next month or so. Hopefully, we get some reports on how they look in the fall.

“Miss bats”? LOL. Baseball nerds really know how to come up with some goofy descriptors.

Last year was a difficult watch. I wish Jay would've changed the lineup sooner than he did. I believe it was a game against Northwestern St where he put a lot of the younger guys in and they almost came back from 10 or so runs down. I was hoping he'd keep them in the lineup after that, though I can understand why he didn't.
