D. Jones will need to have a huge game

Having a solid run game isn’t world breaking analysis, but when you see how Bama has been playing this year, it does ring more true than years past.
Bama has 12 INTs this year with a few pick 6s in there as well. Their DBs are aggressive and they will be in this game.
Having a run game that can move the ball and neutralize that threat will be massive. Also it will wear down their D line which is recovering from some injuries.
Lane also mentioned to be mindful of some passing plays that are extensions of the run when analyzing run stats. Seems likely that Kiffin and Weis pound the rock and work the edges as extensions of run game to get us to the red zone.
There TDG and Harris will have to then make a play and Sam will have to be smart and not force a throw.
The engine of this offense on Saturday will be through the RBs and our edge WRs like Wilson to get 3-7 yard gains.
Also this is a solid way to keep Russell off the field by churning drives.

He hasn't had a problem all year. He is the key to the game for us.

He had 106 yds vs Ole Miss

I am confident that a Kiffin offense will always run the ball well. We have really not had many issues marching up and down the field on anybody all year. The problems don't start to surface until we get inside the red zone. We have gotten better, but we need to be able to put up points on drives this weekend.

We 100% have improved at RZ offense.
It really will be dependent on if Sam makes a dumb throw or not. If he can take the calculated shots down there and also throw the ball away and live for another down, we win this game.

TDG is abig help down there whether we throw it to him or not. Not comparing him to this player by any means but it's almost like when the saints double covered Calvin johnson at the goal line.
If you single cover TDG in the red zone, he scores. If you slide coverage his way, the other side of the field opens up. Add in Harris and Mothershed and you can really make a DC go cross eyed

The keys to the game will not be just one thing. Definitely moving the ball on the ground and keeping the ball out of the other offensive’s hands is key. But the other keys are:
Limiting turnovers
Scoring 7 in the RZ, no FG’s
Containment of their QB

That dude is one of the hardest runners I've seen since the Miles era. I fully expect him to have a good game. If he can, it will make all the difference and open up the passing game. If he can't, then we will be like bama and have to win in the air. I still like our chances if that happens.

most of that was the second half, when we actually had a good offensive and defensive strategy. Let's hope we don't have to wait til halftime to do that again.

Sam put the QB run back on the table in the Auburn game and it should be a legit threat after a week of rest and rehab on that hammy. That and having Green back, which we also saw vs Auburn, should really help in the red zone.

He didn't look anywhere close to his Clemson performance with his legs. He pulled up big time on a first down run against them. Looks to be about 75% to me
