You are absolutely correct. I would love to see lsu with the arms some of these other teams bring to Omaha though. Maybe Lange paired with latz and a newcomer get them there. I can't agree with some of what cpm does but lsu will be back.

The Tigers finished where they should have. They were a very good top 5 team just not a great championship team.

Vanderbilt, Virginia, TCU, Florida, and UCLA have most definitely surpassed LSU in baseball.

Love our players and will not say one bad thing about them. But CPM is another story. Thought he was the weakest coach of the 8 in the CWS. Not starting your number 1 in game 1, not developing a real third starter during the season, not really shaking up the lineup when it when went into pretty much a month long slump that started really in the SEC Tournament and played out all the way through the CWS. Use of pitching during the tournament, lack of patience at the plate by our hitters etc. This program should never lack pitching anymore than football should struggle at Quarterback, so I'm not giving him any more of a pass on the pitching that I give Miles on lack of QB evaluation and development.

Missed much of the game and sad the Tigers lost. Great year and kudos to the kids for making it what it was.
