Carolina is a wealthier state. Dont know how much that will play into it.

Given that UNC has NCST, WF, & Duke all in the ACC, whereas LSU has no in-state peers, don't see any relevance there.

UNC will get every ticket they can for this one. The split will be based solely on ticket availability.

They failed to sell out their allotment of tickets.

if unc football fans are anything like their basketball fans, you wont hear a peep out of them. those folks are a wine and cheese crowd.

I don't think LSU will be a large majority. Many LSU fans are skeptical this year and are going to take a wait and see approach. A nervous fanbase will not travel in crazy numbers to a regular season game in a city that we have played in about 5 times in the last 6 years.

However, I have heard that UNC didn't sell all of their allotment of tickets. Unfortunately, I don't think the Chick-Fila people will make as much money this year as they have off of the Sabanites in Alabama.

BOTH schools have been reported to have sent back some of their allotment. As of the 1st LSU sold 25k and UNC 22k and sent some back. 15k tickets are alloted to sponsors. So thats about 10k tickets that has gone unsold or sent back as of the 1st. I have not seen a more current breakdown though.

Auburn fans said the same thing when we played them in the Peach Bowl back in 2001.

Yeah but it takes roughly 5 Auburn fans to equal one LSU fan in quality as well as noise production so that point is moot.

Hopefully it is better than the LSU showing during the 07 SEC Championship game...Tenn fans were all over that building.

LSU for any game on the road (except superdome) does not eclipse 25,000. The demand for tickets is weak on LSU's side and we've never been anywhere close to a 50/50 split in Atlanta for any game (even Miami). There will be more UNC fans than LSU.

LSU will out number them for sure.

I went to the WVU/UNC bowl game a few years back in Charlotte and it was easy 50/50 maybe even more WVU fans
