Agreed this surprised me - pleasantly. I kinda expected him to be the Peja Stojakovic type - catch and shoot guy who can be fairly easily taken out of the game if need be. He is more than that - now will his skills be challenged more by better competition - of course - still better than I expected.

If you ask him to give you any actual basketball perspective he can’t, that’s why he defaults to all that because outside of being critical of your opinions and pointing out where you are wrong, he will rarely if ever give his opinion or perspective so he can’t ever be criticized when he is wrong, therefore he’s never wrong. It’s a silly game.

More made up nonsense and projection. Again I do not jump into your circle jerks but you can’t let other people discuss anything. You jump in with your false accusations and your idiotic takes. Nobody is interested in the cheer squad, talk amongst yourselves and leave the fans alone to discuss basketball.

Where is there actual basketball being discussed? Point me in that direction. That’s why I asked the question to someone else, and you just had to put your nose in it in response with zero basketball. I got no response from him and I asked the same question to you. No response. So the circle jerk you seem to be a part of is the one that doesn’t actually discuss basketball, just points the finger at people who disagree with you and say they don’t know anything. So this will be the second time I’ve asked you a different question, curious of your response. I’ll ask again.
Do you think this team is better than last year? Why or why not? Don’t give me that “I’ll wait until we play someone bs either.” If you are so critical of others, you should be able to notice a difference one way or the other after 2 games.
What are your observations schematically on the first 2 games?

Even though this wasn't directed at me, I'll continue our conversation from another thread.
I truthfully think that on paper our team was not that bad last year. (At least not 2-16 bad). I think we fell victim to poor coaching and rotations.
Still a lot of trying to score 1 on 1.
Sure MacKinnon got some open catch and shoot threes, but schematically I think we are far behind McMahon's first year.
It would be a torture session, but I'd like you to go back and watch the plays we ran his first season. We used to run amazing sets that got Adam Miller open shots, he simply just missed... and the rest of the team had hardly any talent.
What is the missing ingredient? Cody Toppert. Toppert was the one in the huddle drawing up the plays. If you keep Toppert on the staff, I think we look significantly better.
We're four years in and I still have no clue what Casey Long even does. We hire Jalen Courtney-Williams to be our "defensive coordinator" and we still overcommit, over-rotate, and leave shooters open.
