Saban took over a floundering program that showed flashes over the years, but never truly became great. He put the program on the map for good when he left. LSU was set up to win for years. In essence he turned LSU from a stock Altima to a Ferrari. Miles was given the keys to the new Ferrari and he drove it hard. Eventually it started falling behind. Orgeron took it, slapped a high performance engine part in it, and rode it for one solid race…the greatest race ever. Unfortunately, he didn’t maintain it and it broke down.

Kelly now has this old Ferrari. It’s not the car it once was, but it still commands great value on the name alone. His job is to give the old car fresh paint, new wheels, and tweak the engine a bit so it will look and run like new again. He’s not doing near the legwork Saban did to rebrand LSU football. Saban will probably always be LSUs best coach ever.

Can we please let the man coach atleast 1 game before anointing him the greatest coach ever? Personally I think he is gonna flop & be gone in 4 years but everyone saying that we are getting 10 wins this year just because bk is our coach is just plain stupid.
