He was our best reliever on the staff when he went into the closer role.

Most clutch pinch hitter in LSU history as well.

Coincidentally those 5, plus Costello, have all been shut down for the fall.

My nephew saw CPM before the Ms State game. He told him that he was shutting down those five pitchers because 10 of 20 pitchers were injured.

Huh? Dude pitched lights out at the end of the season and he hits bombs!

Man I hope he can make a come back but my gut just tells me we won't ever see him in the lineup.

He wasn't a pinch hitter.

There has been no publicly stated diagnosis, but he's been held out with arm soreness. I don't think they've said what part of the arm. But they did say they haven't found any structural damage.

Cabrera is our 4th best pitcher but he’s too good in the field. Don’t @ me.

Potentially our 4th best pitcher. And he's too good at the plate, in the field he's just kind of there.

If Bianco and Dugas both take off with the bat, I wouldn't mind seeing Cabrera get more pitching opportunities. Dugas and Giacomo can fill in in the OF.

By field I meant in the lineup daily. I looked like most freshman in the OF but definitely came around late.

By my count, we have 9 pitchers physically unable to pitch and 4 shut down for precautionary reasons this fall.
Hurt: Cole Henry, Nick Storz, AJ Labas, Matthew Beck, Chase Costello, Caleb Gilbert, Rye Gunter, Ma'Khail Hilliard, and Easton McMurray.
Shelved: Landon Marceaux, Devin Fontenot, Zack Hess, Todd Peterson,
This leaves 7 pitchers to finish up fall ball: Eric Walker, Will Ripoll, Trent Vietmeier, Aaron George, Clay Moffit, Riggs Threadgill, and Jaden Hill.
