Paul is absolutely an a-hole......But putting any blame on Walker is just plain STUPID. You ain’t gonna win many SEC games with ONE RUN PAWL......

Do you guys honestly not see a difference in one person accepting responsibility on his part and another passing blame? Walker accepted responsibility and CPM didn’t, it’s not that hard to decipher unless you’re blindly biased.

I assume that's sarcasm.
Mainieri has never been shy about singling out players who he thinks performed poorly or didn't execute. Although he's a fine coach, this is not one of his admirable qualities.

What coaching mistakes did paul make? Those comments he made seem pretty tame. He is someone who is direct and tells the truth. I prefer that to the les miles method of coachspeak. His pitcher wasnt locating, and it cost us in a few spots. Thats the truth.

Pawlie needs to jump some of his arse. Coaches!
Particularly Alabama Dunn!
Then, sit his own weak arse down.

He has never been same since Can-a-zero!

I don't recall him calling out individual players the way PM does. If a link exists I would readily read it.

Sounds like that is what happened, Paul was asked, and he gave an honest answer. I don't see the problem.

Scoring 1 run should be the focus. Not one bad pitch.

If the guy on the bump has to be perfect to win, then you probably don’t have a championship team.

You should get called out when you give up a 3 run bomb on an 0-2 count with 2 outs.
That pitch can never, ever be made. That is simply terrible.
If PM offends you saying that can't happen, then you probably need to go to the recreational park, where it hey don't keep score, to watch your baseball

I agree it was a bad pitch, but you completely missed the point.

Bregman came to LSU because he broke his hand.

Postgame comments after a regular season college baseball game?

Sounds boring as f*ck to me.

Maineiri wouldn’t say anything about a certain player to the media without thinking the player can’t handle it. Personally if a player is hurt and can’t handle those comments he made then I don’t want that guy playing for LSU anyway.

A few years back this place went all up in arms because Maineiri made a comment about Deichmann but no one ever mentions that after those comments Deichmann completely changed as a player. Maybe it was just good timing maybe it was being called out that took him to that next level. Either way the player didn’t pout and cry. He improved.

Yes the Tigers had like 15 fly ball outs ! Not going to beat anyone if you hit like that !

In the college game. The coach blaming individual player execution for winning and losing games is pathetic. Bad leadership. In the pro game ok. Even then it is dumb.

We scored one run. Not going to win doing that regardless of an execution mistake on a pitch. Whatever.

He said on the 0-2 pitch that was hit for a three-run homerun Dunn called for an out of the zone high pitch to see if the hitter would chase it.

Instead Walker threw a thigh high pitch over the plate.

He also said the pitch out called when the runner was on first base and was attempting to steal was not thrown properly which caused Mathis to reach back towards the plate and resulted in catcher’s interference.

This is not throwing players under the bus. These two instances were very obvious to average and above baseball fans.

An 0-2 pitch should NEVER be hit for a home run, and the circumstances whereby Walker served that one up, with 2 on base at 2 outs, was particularly galling.

But how does that affect the team's inability to hit and score runs?
