Then tell them they suck in the locker room to their face. Don't run to the media and throw an amateur ballplayer under the bus for a defensive play in a game where you score 1 run.

I mean it wasn't really media. Looks like it was one person and if it was Doucet well who cares.

You say amateur player but these guys play in a national spotlight on the top level.

Your post has absolutely nothing to do with mine. First, that play is not why we lost. And two, PM still put out a worse defense than he had available with the exact same hitters.
The first game of the year, deichmann was dropping balls right at him. His fundamentals at 1B are really bad. Watch him stretch for a ball. His glove "falls" on the ball instead of him moving his body through it. He sucks there, so I can't really blame him when he does things that suck.

It wasn't one person. It was an interview on video out in front of the dugout and a few reports. How is wafb not "really media"?

Poor Paul. Starting his yearly June Swoon six weeks early.
He's been blaming players publicly for years and it should never be done at the college level. All criticisms regarding poor play and results should be general and never aimed at a particular player.

Because not a single national outlet will hear about it. It's a bad local station nobody really cares about. And that play did have a big impact on the game outcome. But let's pat him on the back and say o well. That's ok. We will get them next time. This whole world is growing pansy asses. My T ball coach said worse things than this.

Didn't realize a 1-1 tie would be a victory for the Tigers.
How did 22 get off so easy after Game 1? Screw Paul.

Unbelievable. This is one thing I love bout ole Leslie. He will take up for his players always and never calls them out. Ever. And players that played for him love him
While this is true, check out Glenn Guilbeau's tweet in reply to Doucet in the OP.
What a dickbag.

You keep ignoring that PM was wrong. Saying shite to the media is nothing new for PM. I'm not even bitching about that. I gave you my two points and you still keep going back to "media no one cares about".

It's almost certain every national analyst who covers college baseball as their bread and butter has read the quote.

Yep. As far as "national media" goes for college baseball, all of them follow Jacques.

But yet nobody said anything or even retweeted it. Lol

Lol. And none are saying anything. Wonder why. You constantly bash Paul. For you it has to be personal because half the things you bash him on are retarded. Would you also like Paul to give them cupcakes when they strike out? I guess you got scolded for sucking.

Man I don't know, I think he was just referring to the irony of baseball itself. A play as simple as that could possibly win or lose the game for you.. Something routine that everyone takes for granted
Blast away
Maybe that was the point he wanted to make but he still shouldn't have said it.

The player did.
That's enough damage.

How do you know that to be factual? How do you know no one has said anything? How do you know potential recruits haven't read the quote? Or their parents/ Or their high school coaches?
All you can say with any degree of accuracy is, " as far as I know" and given your limited access to college baseball analysts that probably isn't very far.

If he don't like it quit.

Is he wrong that the outcome would probably have changed?
