Yes. He is blaming a product of a flawed system instead of the system itself.

And he is doing it on behalf of CBS' clickbait department.

Wrong. He blames the system plain and simple....calls it the wild, wild west with players and coaches and the NIL and Portal.....listen to it again.

lol at Cowhers comment (paraphrasing) “he doesn’t care about the players”.

Hey gramps, the players don’t GAF about him (or their school) either. They’re gonna transfer if they want to and pursue whatever path pays the most money ( sound familiar, coach?). Loyalty is over, NIL and the portal killed it.

So as some LSU fans say Kiffin didnt have an ultimatum....if so, then he's just sabotaging the Ole Miss program for no reason is really a fricking dickhead if so.

I don't agree here.

Also, didn't Lincoln Riley do the same thing when he left OU for USC? I'm 99% sure he took a bunch of the staff (and some of the highest rated players) with him.

And how's he doing at USC?...i remember you LSU fans want Tom Herman....how's he doing?....then ya'll wanted Lincoln Riley.....hows he doing?....now you overpaid for an arrogant overrated sub par head coach in Kiffin.....how do you think that will work out? Brian Kelly was an arrogant overrated subpar coach as well.

frick that clickbait noise. I didn't listen to it the first time. I was assuming you were parroting his views as you started the thread. Take his lead and place the blame where it lies...with the system.

LSU will give Kiffin a better chance to win...but he fuked Bama out of maybe 2 championships due to his me me me attitude.

Saban may have said LSU is the place. I've never heard Saban degrade a coach. He never fired a coach without a job to go to.

Ole miss may do well without him. As much as Bama fans (including myself) hated Pete Goldings defense, Saban always talked about is IQ.

It's possible he will be a much better head coach than complex defensive coordinator. I hope he just does head coach shite. It may be the best for everyone.

but damn what a rivalry OM and LSU is gonna have for a few years.

Why the hell should Cowher care? He walked away from a potential dynasty in Pittsburgh, left them high and dry, to be one of the worst talking heads in football.

Yep! He also had one of the most stable jobs that has existed in the United States since 1969. The Steelers have had 3 Head Coaches since 1969, and he left them at the ripe age of 49.

You kinda got it backwards. OM is the entity that forced the issue. Blame the NCAA and its absurd calendar for all of this. The situation will happen again as long as the dates on the calendar are this twisted. It only looks this bad because it’s a coach of a top twelve team entering the playoffs.

STFU. Give me a break. And what would that even imply about ole miss? A desperate second or third tier program. Even more justification to leave when a top 5 opening calls. The calendar sucks. He didn’t make that. I agree it’s unfortunate, but wasn’t really a way around it that ole miss felt comfortable with.

Kiffin denies making any such ultimatum. The team showed up at the Chancellor’s house to ask that Kiffin be permitted to coach them in the post-season.
An employee is supposed to be loyal to a school but no such reciprocal obligation to the coach?! Look how many coaches lost their jobs this season. Ridiculous argument. Booger is correct. Lane took OM to unprecedented success. He has a right to seek & accept a better job with more money, more exposure, bigger stadium & crowds, etc. It’s a promotion. He has earned it.

All of these national talking heads have the same exact take on this and it is starting to feel like reading an "AP" or "Reuters" story, where their entire 'hot take' was generated by AI and they put their own touch on it but it is largely just regurgitated crap.

Why does he have an opinion on this? All of these people wanted to turn college football into a business, then they did, but when gets business gets tough they turn it personal... but its not personal... its just business...

I like how all of these talking heads are blasting him for “abandoning his team” when he was the one who wanted to finish the season and coach in the CFP. Tulane had no problems allowing Sumrall to coach the Green Wave in the postseason even though he’s leaving for Florida. Ole Miss’ athletic director should be getting the the blame for this. He won’t, but he definitely should.

STFU Leprechaun. Doesn’t your team have one of the Service Academies to prepare for?
