Yes-Reggie's is south of campus; downtown BR is north...there are also shuttles bringing people from campus to downtown; i'm sure you can google "lsu gameday shuttle"...IMO wearing Aussie gear is great idea..

So we're here and ready for the game tomorrow!

Can you guys recommend a good bar we can go to tonight to have a few drinks, music and meet some local ladies?

Chimes?

As I recall, he said he and his mate were in their 30's. L'Auberge would be the casino to hit....south of campus. Chimes is a great bar for food and atmosphere. 3rd Street downtown there is a cluster of bars.

There are a number of bars on 3rd St in downtown BR. Roux House, Happy's, Boudreaux and Thibodeaux, Huey's, and some others. If you want to bar-hop, this would be fun.

For more of an LSU pre-game atmosphere, Fred's or Bogie's on the south side of campus.

Chimes is always great on game weekends, and the Varsity Theatre (connected) has a show tonight. A southern rock band called Whiskey Myers.

L'Auberge Casino has the Molly Ringwalds tonight, a well-liked cover party band. That will be a good time.

If it were me, I'd start the night at L'Auberge for dinner and catch the Molly show, then leave around midnight and hit Bogie's or Fred's until 2am. Then go eat late night breakfast Louie's Café.

Welcome to BR... hope y'all have a great weekend.

We had a couple from Melbourne sitting behind us for the Missouri game.

They had no idea what was going on but they were having a great time & did high fives & bow to the Defense with us.

Just a reminder if not already posted, Bogies & Fred's are college aged bars. So just depends on how old you feel surrounded by 19-20-21 yr olds. Third St. offers a wide variety of different atmospheres but are more in line with your ages. The casino environment works too but you have fewer choices.
