No. Just... no.

You're taking the 8 SEC teams most likely to compete for playoff bids, and stuffing them all together into 2 pods. You're taking the also-rans and putting them into their own pods.

This sets up Ole Miss and Tennessee to win their pods more often than Auburn, Florida or Georgia.

Pods insure in-state games are played, and the Texas vs. Oklahoma/Auburn vs. Georgia games continue get played played annually.

If Ole Miss won the Walbags pod, they still must win 4-6 games against the likes of LSU, Bama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, and A&M.

Top two teams go to Atlanta, not the Walbag pod winner.

Hopefully they don't do some silly shite like this! You have two shite pods and two good pods. Doesn't seem fair at all!

A - OU, Texas, A&M, Mizzou
B - LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss St.
C - Bama, Auburn, Tenn, Vandy
D - Kentucky, Carolina, Georgia, Florida

Play all the teams in your pod (3), a permanent rival in each of the other three pods (A&M, Bama, Florida). Play one team from the remaining three pods on a rotating basis.

EXAMPLE LSU schedule
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss St.
Bama
A&M
Florida
Mizzou
Vandy
Kentucky

Come on.

No way this would happen. Talk about no competitive balance between divisions.

D: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Vandy

This is the best, most balanced one yet.

Each pod has 2 really good teams and 2 also rans. If the pod system happens, this is the one to adopt.

Not that my opinion matters, but I'm tired of seeing scenarios where A&M and Texas are not together.

Why?

Strength of schedule needs to be balanced annually, not pods.

Traditional powers are even with the two strong pods.

Boom.

The Wild West pod got another up vote.

Tigers are beginning to see the light.

Pod A
Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas

Pod B
Arkansas, Mississippi State, LSU, Ole Miss

Pod C
Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky

Pod D
Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Vanderbilt

This is the way they should be, no more permanent opponents, just rotate the teams and everyone plays everyone in three years.

Why in the hell would LSU want to be in the same pod with Texas and the sooners?

I agree, this pod would be the BEST ever for LSU…

But,

A hard sell in the SEC front office.

Why? LSU is a long standing member of the SEC we should have some say so in where we go and I bet it wouldn't be to the Big12 teams pod.

We have been getting screwed for years with scheduling it's about time it's spread around to the rest of the conference.

One of these games will not be played with a pod scheduling that makes it at all fair

DSOR
TSIO
Iron bowl
Cocktail party.

I used to think Alabama was the problem with scheduling, but it now looks like auburn is.
