This is terrible.

Pods A & C have the 8 best teams in the SEC.

The best would be:

A: LSU, A&M, MSU, Ole Miss
B: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri
C: Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Kentucky
D: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Vandy

Why would you give the worst programs this massive scheduling advantage over the best programs?

Pods B & D play just 4 juggernaut games.

Good question.

To maintain balance (schedule strength) between the top 8 football teams year-in and year-out this is necessary.

The bottom 8 football teams will still play 9 SEC games, many against the best of the best.

That doesn’t create balance.

Trade LSU with Missouri and this is perfect.

Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Missouri (Texas and Texas A&M should be in the same pod). Four Big 12 schools, makes perfect sense.

LSU, Arkansas, Miss State, Ole Miss

LSU keeps it’s permanent east opponent and plays Florida every year.

Seriously, why do you care if pods B & D are weak.

We want balance and fairness between the top 8.

All this does is weigh down the best teams and prop up the shite teams with weak schedules and an easier path to the SEC title game and the playoff

There are more ramifications to this than just trying to make the top 8 teams play each other. If the league wanted to do that then they would’ve subtracted those other teams.

Sorry. But this doesn't work.

Embrace the two weak pods, and be ready to battle with Texas, OU, and A&M in the West power pod.

Say, "Yes, I can!"

The only way it passes is one pod with:

Bama, Auburn, Tenn, and UGA

The world will stop turning if the Gumps don't play the trash cans and the Barners don't play the Hedges every year.

Not for the 16, but if you just look at the top 8, I think it does.

My hypothesis is the "weak teams" will not make it to the playoffs. They still must play regional opponents, plus a combination of A&M, Auburn, Bama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Unless you’re in the shitty pods, then they give you a free underground bunker to hide in.

No ones doing this pod system man, it sucks

It’s a 16 team league. You have to look at the 16 teams as a whole

I think this schedule just needs 12 votes... I feel confident in 8 votes.

You pretty much put the good teams in two pods and the shitty teams in two pods…might as well start relegating like the premier league

Not no, but hell no. Ole miss and Mississippi State should be in our pod.

That’s not how it works. The “voting” is a formality. These decisions are made by the main 3-5 leaders inside the conference
