LSU beat Alabama thanks to great defense.
LSU beat Alabama thanks to great defense.

That's it.

Can LSU beat Alabama with Jordan Jefferson behind the helm again? He didn't turn the ball over twice like Jarrett Lee did, but can the LSU offense depend on an interception returned to the 10 yard line by Mo Claiborne to gain it's second field goal of the game?

If LSU plays JJ, it MIGHT make less mistakes. Assuming that Lee would have another bad game and that Jordan Jefferson would stop having bad games. I don't think it can or would happen. Alabama's defense is too good to come out and speed option against, again.

JJ is a Bama Killer. 2-1 and the one loss he was winning before an illegal hit knocked him out.

If the JJ-led offense from the first half of last night shows up, LSU loses to Bama and likely OSU.

If Bama would have scored just one touchdown, we would have lost. Can't credit a QB as being their kryptonite with that kind of production.

well, he'd been successful running speed option against them in 09 and 10. it's not like they hadn't seen it from him before.

hell, we even got a successful speed option on em with Lee in 08.

Yes we can. We know JJ's history with a month to prepare.

Plus he's the only one that can make the fatasses on bama's line actually have to run.

This game won't even be close.

Saban is jizzing after watching JJ in the first half last night.

bama has the depth GA doesn't and will scheme to keep JJ inside because he can't throw well enough to keep the D honest.

didn't JL basically throw a pick-3 in that game?

an argument could be made LSU would have won in regulation had JJ played the whole game.

Les Miles and the LSU team has made it this far. Why the second guessing?

Dumb post is dumb. Every game is different and every game has "if" possibilities, JJ could play horribly and LSU could still win, and he can play great and LSU could still lose. How some of you base a W/L off of one player and if's is beyond me. Each play is significant in the game of football.

Because a repeat performance of the 1st half against a team like Bama would result in a loss for the Tigers.

we will struggle with JJ. against any other team we would've been down +17. Yes we won but osu or bama would'nt have laid down in the 2nd half.

Please refrain from posting rational arguments. Thank you.

This. However, I will say that is obvious that Alabama struggles with mobile QBs and option attacks. Just look at our game against them once JJ came in and then two weeks later when they played Georgia Southern. GS put over 300 yards and 21 points on them and only attempted 7 passes.

How the frick do you know smart guy? Do you know that Bama will score? Or that the defense or special teams won't score? Or that one ofLSU's rb's won't break free for a td?

Give Bama a short field the ENTIRE 1st half and I promise they will find a way to put points on the board. Our defense was on the field the entire 1st half last night ... we survived against UGA, but I wouldn't bet against Bama in the same situation.
