Could Guice be used like Josh Reed was?

He runs angry. Would be difficult to cover in the slot.

I miss the 2001 passing game so much. So very much. Wonder what Les and Cam would do with that offense. Hmmm

Reed was moved to WR because in 99 we basically didn't have any bodies left at the position and he wasn't getting on the field at RB anyway. It worked out better than expected.

Guice is getting touches at RB and we have other options at WR.

I've viewed Diarse as a Reedish type

My mistake. LSU, a running team, should move it's second best RB to WR so he can get fewer touches and spend his time blocking for other RBs who would get the carries he normally would have.

Outside of Dupree there aint a whole lot at WR. Guice would be a better option there rather a measly 4 touches

Let's see you have Dupree, Dural, Diarse, Tyrone Johnson, Chark, Quinn, Ferguson, etc.

receivers galore! They just need to get into rhythm and that happens when you are having the ball thrown to you regurlarly. Not 5 times a game to everyone.

The WRs aren't the only problem with he passing game. He's going to be more involved at RB and in certain slot packages like they've been doing than he would be as a full time receiver. This isn't even really debatable.

And when Reed was moved to receiver we literally had a 3rd string QB taking game snaps at WR so the situation isn't even remotely the same.

Agreed. Just need our best weapons on the field. He is dynamic and needs to see more time other than spelling LF and Williams

Um, Earth to the LSU fanbase.

We have top flight 5* receivers that we can't get enough touches to because we are petrified of our QB hurting us. We only throw the ball 14 times a game. We could have Jerry Rice. If you don't throw the ball to him and get him touches, he can't be productive in your offense.

Sad, but true.

Les had Jimbo for at least 1 season and it looked pretty damn good. Jimbo would have been a great hire, but that would have been a big risk at the time I guess.
