negative.....LSU made Saban the first million dollar coach in college football.

Dinardo's downfall was his not maintaining a top notch staff. He started with a good staff, but as coaches left, they were replaced with inferior coaches. The thing that would have helped Dinardo more than NIL would have been a gigantic budget for assistant coaches.
Put a gold star on this post.

DiNardo was a head case
Not really. He was a decent guy, pretty much making all the right moves until Carl Reese left in 1997. He just had no control of the team after Lou Tepper wrecked it

Never underestimate the might of white (as in home jerseys). For that move alone he should be in the LSU Sports Hall of Fame.

Not with Lou Tepper having an OLB cover a guy in the slot and CB’s lined up 8 yards off of the receiver.

Remember the Israelites grew tired of manna pretty quickly, and they were still in the desert!

Nick Saban left bowl-bound Michigan State on Tuesday for Louisiana State, a job that will nearly double his salary and make him one of the country’s top-paid coaches.
He signed a five-year contract for about $1.2 million annually, joining a select group of millionaire coaches that includes Bobby Bowden of Florida State, Steve Spurrier of Florida and Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee.
