What about Jaray Jenkins ...a guy who a lot of people felt would be better at cornerback coming out of high school

I am one of Lee's biggest supporters. I think he will be a great WR at LSU and in the NFL. I believe in his commitment to stay at WR.

But the Natty is on the line, and Lee could be a HUGE temporary help at a DB slot.

So... Could Devonta Lee Make a Deal With O (To Play Some DB) for this season Only? With a rock solid guarantee from the boss that he goes right back to WR in the Spring?

Not all that many HCs that I'd trust on a deal like that. But I would trust Coach Orgeron 100%.

Hope the very talented Mr Lee gives it some consideration.

This reinforces your lack of understanding of football and sole focus on Burrow. There is no way that a person could pick up the packages and assignments and be ready to play championship caliber football in a matter of weeks.

I would like to see this guy go to corner, but seriously, who wants that....you got Flott and Ward going to fight it out for Nickel and Corner....then you have Ricks coming in and no one is unseating Stingley.

Jenkins is too tall to play CB at 6’3”

Safety maybe

Lee couldn't learn "championship assignments" like the ones that led to the 20 yard wide by 50 yard deep wide-open-voids that Plumlee ran thru last Saturday?

Really?

BTW, what size safety do you suggest be the deep hitter on backs like Hurts and Fields? I think Hurts is about 6'3" 225.

Man thinking about what Devin White did he was the ultimate team player. D. White switched over and the rest is history. Wish some others could see the big picture but too each their own.

so you feel that the positions were being played as coached? If they weren’t are the players incapable of learning? Or are the players just not good? Who is to blame

You're suggesting that there is NO NEED for depth at Safety during the playoff run? You're an idiot

I am suggesting he wouldn’t be a safety he would be a guy standing back there no knowing what to do.

Unless you diminish what the other guys have worked on since spring

Lee is not a selfish kid. I spoke to his uncle today and it is true they asked him if he wanted to move to safety but he still wants to try it out at receiver. He will move to defense if he doesn’t win a receiver spot. He is a team first kid. In the end he will play where he has the best chance to get to the league

I'm not against living guys around to fill a need, and there is a need.

But man we have 2 games left in the regular season. We've passed that window

Thanks for that update, Herman. I've watched all the tape out there on Devonta. I love the way he plays the game. And I respect his decision to fight for a WR slot. I think he'll be a great one.

However, he may get in the WR rotation a lot faster by helping the DBs during the run at the Natty. But if he were my son, I wouldn't consider it without a promise from Coach O that he can move right back to WR in the Spring.
