you're arguing with a brick wall.
I've just accepted that with this particular issue, we are divided. It is what it is. I hope Reid has a chance to play in the NFL again. He's a hell of a player.

A problem entirely of his own creation. He can possess stupid sociopolitical opinions, people and players do all the time, without any repercussions. He chose to demonstrate during the anthem instead of keeping politics off the field. Boo hoo.

That's the exact point, he's a "millionaire " protesting oppression and he's a prime example (along with a lot of other minorities ) that you can achieve great things with hard work and dedication no matter what your skin color is. It's hypocrisy. Pro basketball and football have 70% or greater of blacks on their teams, if there was widespread oppression black guys wouldn't be employed by the owners of these franchises. Don't have a problem with wanting better for the black community but do it in a different fashion, you're protesting the flag and anthem that gives you the rights you have, again it's hypocrisy.

The whole issue might be the most overblown story in sports. Its peaceful protest.. Agree with the opinion or not but the outrage is ridiculous

Did Eric Reid not tip you for coffee one day? You seem a bit over the top about this entire issue.

I wouldn’t sign him. Not a good enough safety considering the baggage and publicity he carries.
He's a very intelligent guy, a hard worker, and his teammates love him.
I wouldn't sign him because of his concussion history, but not for any other reason. He's not the face of the protest stuff, Kaepernick is.

And people have every right to protest the protesters and the networks for putting them on TV time and time again.
And don't tell me the protesters had something important to say, if they did they'd be protesting still on their own time.

My god this thread delivers.
Who would have seen the twist that one side sees it as protesting black hate crimes and the other sees it as being disrespectful to service personnel. Each side calling each other snowflakes to make themselves each feel better.
Also new at 11, Louisiana is humid.

Well since you bought it up- would you want to attend a football game without the presence of law enforcement?

Reid is way to good of a DB to not get signed by someone.

Oh people are welcome to disagree but to act like its a massively offensive thing to kneel is extreme

This. Those on the right are the snowflakes this time. Along with that vet who turned down the Saints honor.
These guys have every right to peacefully demonstrate and it doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever.

Not really. The players even acknowledge that they deliberately chose the anthem because they knew it was inflammatory and would generate them more attention. Again, if they spoke their mind outside of work, you know, like everybody else does, it would be a non-issue. They WANTED the controversy and media circus and chose their methods accordingly.

Its peaceful protest
And? They aren't being arrested. The Klan has peaceful protests too, outrage towards them overblown? The peaceful protest argument is completely irrelevant to anything.

Ah another one bites the dust. One at a time one at a time.

Comparing this to Klan just shows the insanity this story has become
Popular
